Evony sent out messages yesterday about a new item called the dream truce, an item you will get if you spend more than $30 from now until January 20. Yes, that’s right, you always have to spend money to get something from Evony. Several people complained in the forums about this dream truce item, thinking this would give people spending money on the game a massive advantage. From the email Evony sent out it was almost impossible to figure out exactly how this item worked. Mods have been posting in the forum however to clear things up.

Basically you have to use one dream truce item each time you want to have a truce, you can not use the same item multiple times. The only difference from the normal truce item is that you can schedule them so that they are automatically used at a specific time every day. Seeing you have to spend $30 to get just a single one of them, the item is hardly any change to the game at all, I don’t think anyone will buy more than a few of them if even that. Here is what Evony says in their recent message.

For every transaction worth $30 or more during Jan 12th to Jan 20th, you’ll be getting a FREE New Year package and a Special New Year Chest Key which can be used to open the Special New Year Chests in this FREE New Year Package. Not only that, but you’ll also be given a “Dream Truce” item.

Our new Dream Truce lets you enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep without fear of attack, night after night! Each item is good for 10 hours of prescheduled truce, with no limit to the number of days you can use Dream Truce. Simply select the number of Dream Truces you’d like to use and then schedule them according to server time for up to ten hours. Each day at that time, you’ll automatically enter into truce mode and you’ll be safe and sound until it expires at the time you set! Now, be careful setting your time because changing your Dream Truce times on an existing usage has a 72 hour cooldown. If you set multiple Dream Truces at once, you will have to wait 72 hours before you can change the daily truce times, and another 72 hours if you want to change it again. To change the time, just click the buff icon in the upper left corner. Once you’ve set your Dream Truces, players who click on your cities or profile will see your Daily Truce times displayed. Any attacks en route to your cities at the time you set up the Dream Truce will still arrive, but no further attacks can be launched that would land within your Daily Truce time. There is no limit to the number of Dream Truces you can apply at any time, although you may only have up to ten (10) hours of Dream Truce time in any 24 hour period. So go ahead, stack ‘em up, set ‘em up, and enjoy sweet dreams while your cities are tucked safely in for the night.

Remember how we said it’s the time of giving? Well, players who do make purchases with transactions over $30 will also be able to send to their friends a Special New Year Chest FREE! It’s so easy to pass on gifts to friends; all you have to do is choose to send all your friends or alliance members. Or you can write down the lord name directly to send out the Special New Year Chest during the payment. You can choose all your friends in the list, but just know that only 20 friends maximum can be written down if you want to write their names rather than using your friend list. And you can not send gifts to those friends who are not in the same server with you. Just remember, you’ll need a Special New Year Chest Key to open those gifts your friends send you! Not only that, but you can also choose ONE friend to send one “Dream Truce” item too for every single $30 purchase.

Did you get a Special New Year gift from your friend? How will you know? Each person who has been given a Special New Year Chest or a “Dream Truce” item by their friend will receive a system mail to inform them of the gift, and there will be a special URL in the mail content which you can also give a return gift to the person who sent you one! This URL will take you to the payment site, and once you purchase $30 you’ll be able to send Special New Year gifts to your friends, also you can get the New Year package, the key for special Chest and “Dream Truce” too.

Don’t forget, to get the great items in your New Year Packages or Special New Year Chest after your purchases, just click on the gift box in the top left corner of your screen and claim the package, then go to your Items window and you’ll find the packages in the “chest” column. The Special New Year Chest Key is in a normal New Year package. However, if you get gifts from your friends, the Dream Truce gift will be directly in your items page, do not need to claim, very easy! (So to get packages you need to claim them on the gift box, to get Dream Truce do not need, they will be in your items directly.)
