As this technology’s name implies, stockpiling is the benefit where you use a warehouse to protect your resources. The stockpile technology will increase the warehouse capabilities of storing more resources by 10% each time you upgrade this technology.

Stockpile is a beneficial technology since it will allow you to stock more resources in your warehouses. But none the less, it is a bit costly to upgrade with high prerequisites attached to it, like the need to have built a level 6 academy just to get level 1 stockpile. So before upgrading stockpile you need to determine if it is worth it and will it benefit your city or not. Most players wait with upgrading stockpile technology until all their other technologies are researched as they find it pretty useless.

The warehouse is where you are able to stock your cities resources. Warehouses are useful in a way that it prevents an enemy attack force to steal your resources unless they have privateering technology learned. A warehouse is readily available to build when you start playing, and you are able to store 10,000 worth of resources inside a level 1 warehouse.

Warehouses can be upgraded to a higher level, and it allows the warehouse to store more units of resources, example when you level your warehouse to level 2, a warehouse will now be able to store 30,000 units of resources. To increase a warehouse’s capacity more you are able to do so by leveling stockpile.

Privateering is a technology where your attacking military forces are able to ransack and plunder resources from an enemy warehouse. This is a technology is a useful way for you to gain resources when you invade an enemy city. At higher tier levels, privateering will enable your army to plunder and steal resources at a higher amount from enemy warehouses.

To upgrade you privateering technology you go to your academy building. In order for you to upgrade this technology you will need to have built a level 10 academy, researched and leveled your informatics to level 5 and military science to level 8. You also need to pay a cost of 5,000 food, 2,000 iron and 10,000 gold. Along with a 1 hour research time, these prerequisites are require to level to level 1 privateering. As you upgrade this technology the prerequisites increase, and it is a very costly technology to research all the way to level 10.

This stratagem lets you loot more resources from your opponent in attacks by lowering the warehouse capacity by half of it’s level. Since most players don’t use warehouses in Evony, I can’t see this stratagem being useful at all. The stratagem is way too expensive also, so I doubt I will ever use it.

Building a new city in Evony is actually quite easy. First you need to have a high enough title, to build your second village you need to be a Knight.
