Evony Age 2 Guide

Donation of Military Material is the second of the new hero quests for Evony Age 2. In this quest you are supposed to donate various types of resources to help the Royal Family of the kingdom. There are five parts in this quest, one for each type of resources that you can produce.

The history behind the quest is that the allied forces have gathered enough troops to dual with the invaders. However, the fighting spirit is dim cause of the lack of resources. The troops are facing a crucial burden of food.  To bolster the army and boost the troops moral, the royal family is again looking for the lords of the realm to donate resources to the army. To complete the quest you need to donate 200,000 of each resources.

Commission quests is a new feature of Evony Age 2. Commission quests are quests that you can offer to other players in reward for Evony game cents. At the moment there are only one type of commission quest you can offer other players, but I expect there to be more types of commission quests available in the future.

The quest type available now is the anti-colonization commission quest. What this does is that it lets another player help you in the uprising battle against your Suzerain and take your colonized city back. When you issue the quest you can choose how much the reward is, the better the reward is the more player you will probably get wanting to do your quest. The barracks is where you train and dismiss an army, and it is the building you will have the most of in your cities. It is here where you produce the military that you need to go to war or defend your city. Since wars are waged everyday in the world of Envoy, you will surely need a lot of barracks to prepare for war.

As you level your barracks, you will also be able to produce more advanced military units. For a level 1 barracks you will be able to produce workers and warriors. As you progress leveling the barracks you are able to produce units such as scouts, swordsmen, archers and cavalry. Most top players have at least 15 barracks in each of their cities to be able to produce troops as quickly as possible.

A rally spot is a building in your city where you assemble your military forces, prepare for war or for military exercises. It is also here where you adjust your army’s status and strength. The rally spot also serves as the location where you determine which strategies to use in times of an invasion or war.

There are several options in the rally spot on how to prepare your army like march, is used to assemble your army for war. The open the gates option allows you to determine if you want your army to defend your city walls or keep them safe inside the barracks. When you level your rally spot’s tier it will increase the amount of troops you can march at one time and increasing its limit in doing so.

Evony Age 2 has made the rally spot much more efficient to use than it was before. There are also some new types of attacks you can send out from the rally spot now, like the colonize attack that you can read more about here. A rally spot is a must have for every city.

A new feature with Evony Age 2 is that you can link your Evony account with your Facebook account. Linking your Evony account to Facebook has many advantages, and I think it’s almost a must if you want to be successful in Evony Age 2. The obvious thing it does is to make it easier to invite your friends on Facebook to play Evony Age 2 with you, and the application also makes sure that your friends start up on the same server and close to the same area as you do. This gives you a chance to easily help your friends get started with Evony quickly.

Another huge advantage with linking to your Facebook account is the gifts and resources you get from it. If you get lots of your friends to join Evony through Facebook you will get tons of cool rewards. People have built up massive armies early on with the help of Facebook integration. If you use this stratagem your opponent can not recall his troops before they finish the attack they are on. This stratagem can be disabled if you use Cicada sheds it’s skin. I guess this stratagem can be fairly useful, but doubt it will be one of the popular ones.

This Evony Age II stratagem might seem very similar to Cicada sheds it’s skin when you look at the description. However, this stratagem makes your troops move faster towards your enemy, not on the return trip. I can see this being useful when you want to attack someone by surprise. It decreases your troops marching duration by 30%.
