Evony Age 2 Guide

The Tax Policy is an item available in Evony which will increase revenue generated from taxes by 100% for a duration of 24 hours. The ideal time to use this item would be at the beginning of day 3 or 4. Once you have put up all of your cottages, exceeded 16k citizens between both of your cities and taxed them at 50%, you will have netted over 200k gold which is equivalent to lots of extra archers depending on resources costs. You can purchase a Tax Policy through the Evony Store for 45 cents.

This startup guide is for new servers where resources are still very cheap in terms of gold. The first few weeks of a server food is only about 0.1 gold each and the other resources are at about 0.2 – 0.4. We want to take advantage of this by having a high gold income, and focus most of our resources on building cottages for the first few days. Later on you will remove some of them for barracks, but early on we don’t need that many barracks since we’ll only be building warriors and we don’t have enough resources to keep a bunch of barracks running all the time.

What I do on a new server is to first complete the quests to get the basic buildings you need in your city. You get as much resources in reward for completing the quests as it costs you to build the first few levels of every building, sometimes even more, so there is no reason not to do so right away. Spend some guidelines to speed things up if you want. You build one of each resources and then fill up the rest of your fields with mostly wood and a few of stone.  Wood is the most important resource for you early since you will be building cottages. Like most other browser strategy games Evony finances itself by having an in game item shop where players can buy useful items for the game with real money. To buy items in the shop you first have to exchange your real money to evony coins, usually at the rate of 10 coins for $1 US.

The prices in the shop varies a lot, some items are way overpriced in my opinion compared to others. The most expensive item is the ritual of pact, costing you 500 coins or $50 at the usual exchange rate! This is quite an expensive item, it is however needed to increase the alliance size to 100 members. The cheapest item and the most popular one by far is the aries amulet that let you spin the wheel of fortune. You can buy one of these for only 5 Evony cents. Lots of people have asked this questions for some reason, so here is a list of what the Christmas package as well as the Christmas chests contain. You need a key to open a special christmas chest. When you got a key and open it you will receive a random assortment of chest A, B or C. When it comes to the Santa’s milk an cookies that you all get for Christmas, you should start using them today and use one every day. A couple of days ago they put out a new patch that changed the effect of quite a few of the items you can buy in Evony. A pretty good update in my opinion, since most of these items have been pretty useless before. It’s also nice to see a change that doesn’t involve nerfing something.
