Evony Age 2 Guide

The scout is a very useful unit in Evony Age 2, and you want to have several of these in each of your cities all the time. The scouts are pretty weak when it comes to attack and defense, but their main purpose is to do scouting missions after all. The scouts also defend you against other players scouting your cities. You only need level 2 barracks to build scouts, and in my opinion getting a few 100 scouts is the first thing you should do starting up on a new Evony Age 2 server. Read the rest of this entry »

Informatics is the technology that effects how you gain information from your scouts. A high informatics level will allow your scouts to gain more information on a place you send them to. A scout attack checks the size of an opposing city’s military.

With each upgrade to informatics, your scouts will gain more data when scouting, and they can scout higher level locations. Please also not that like other technologies, informatics needs certain prerequisites to upgrade. As the level of informatics increases, so will be the spying capabilities of your scouts. Achievements seems to be another new feature of Evony Age II. The achievement quests are different from the normal quests you are used to from before. Some of them involve killing various type of troops and conquering other players. Overall they seem to be more geared towards offense and war than the regular Evony quests.

You seem to get points in reward for doing these Achievements. This is different from the normal quests where you get resources or items in reward. You can use these points to get prestige rewards later on. This offense stratagem is really useful I think, especially later in the game. When other players has millions of scouts in their cities it is very hard to scout them the normal way. Using this stratagem you can see how many troops they have in their city without having to use and scouts of your own. The stratagem is quite cheap compared to the other offense stratagems, so I can see this being one being used quite a lot.

Getting intelligence before making attacks in Evony is really important so you don’t end up loosing battles and wasting troops attacking someone with no resources. NPCs in Evony don’t have any scouts of themselves, so you don’t have to worry about loosing your scouts in a battle when you try to scout them. The only problem scouting NPCs in Evony is that you need high enough informatics technology to get an accurate scout report. Yes, it’s possible to attack barbarian NPC villages without any losses at all. You get a lot of experience for your hero when you’re doing this as well as lots of resources. I’ve done this with villages up to level 5 so far, but I will attack higher once I get enough troops to do so. Read on to figure out how.

You can make more than 10 million gold a day in Evony using this strategy. Actually 10 million is just a cool number, the correct one is 950,000 gold an hour, most people don’t play 24/7 however. The way to do this is to raid NPC villages, and I will tell you how.

To do this I would recommend having a minimum of two villages, and one of them should be as close to a level 5 NPC village as possible. The level 5 NPC village will have 950,000 gold in it when full, it regenerates all that gold in one hour, so to get the max from it you should be within half an hour from it with transports.
