Evony Age 2 Guide

Evony traps, is there any use in having them these days? I think you should have some traps, but not a whole lot of them, Archer towers are still the best fortification there is in my opinion, but it is nice to layer your fortifications a bit with traps and abatis as well. Traps are pretty good at killing foot soldiers, but they are pretty useless unless you combine them with archer towers. If a player only have traps as his fortification the enemies will just send cheap warriors at him and destroy those traps pretty easily. There are five different fortifications in Evony, traps, abatis, archer towers, rollinglogs and defensive trebuchets. As pretty much everyone knows the archer tower is the best fortification there is, but is it a good idea to have 100% archer towers? I don’t think so, I definitely prefer some diversity in my fortifications. Archer towers can be best against most forms of attacks, but now and then it will help you a lot to add some other fortification units. The most important fortification apart from archer towers in my opinion is the abatis, I usually have about 1500 of these in cities with a maxed wall. Read the rest of this entry »
