Evony Age 2 Guide

The quarry is where you produce stone for your empire in Evony Age 2, it is the same in Age 1. Especially early on a server production of stone is really important for growing your Evony empire quickly. The reason is that stone is the most important resource when it comes to building construction. Just look at the wall, you need a huge amount of stone to get this construction up to high levels.

Even though stone is really important early on a new Evony Age 2 server, prices for stone is usually starting to decrease in week 2 or 3. The reason for this is that stone is not very important at all when it comes to train troops, and that is what you will be spending most of your resources on when you get a little bit into the game. The transporters of Evony Age 2, are just the same as they are in Age 1. They are the only choice when you want to carry a large number of resources from one city to another. Transporters are also the only choice when you want to attack level 10 NPCs or historic cities, if you want to be able to carry away all the resources you will find there that is. Transporters are quite slow though build however, so at the start of a new Evony Age 2 server you would probably use workers mostly the first few weeks.

The market place is the center for trade in your city. This is the place where you can trade with other players in the world of Envoy. At the market place you can sell or trade sources. Example, you are in need of 10,000 units of stone, all you have to do is to click on the market place and open the iron pane to see the market for iron.

You will be able to buy and sell iron in this window. For you to buy you need to click on the buy button and input the amount you wish to buy and also choose if you want to bid or offer, after this your order will be made. You then need to wait for 30 minutes, to have the order completed. Do the same if you want to sell a resource. But instead of clicking the buy, you have to click on the sell button. Leveling up the marketplace will let you place several orders for resources to buy or sell at the same time.

The warehouse is where you are able to stock your cities resources. Warehouses are useful in a way that it prevents an enemy attack force to steal your resources unless they have privateering technology learned. A warehouse is readily available to build when you start playing, and you are able to store 10,000 worth of resources inside a level 1 warehouse.

Warehouses can be upgraded to a higher level, and it allows the warehouse to store more units of resources, example when you level your warehouse to level 2, a warehouse will now be able to store 30,000 units of resources. To increase a warehouse’s capacity more you are able to do so by leveling stockpile.

Privateering is a technology where your attacking military forces are able to ransack and plunder resources from an enemy warehouse. This is a technology is a useful way for you to gain resources when you invade an enemy city. At higher tier levels, privateering will enable your army to plunder and steal resources at a higher amount from enemy warehouses.

To upgrade you privateering technology you go to your academy building. In order for you to upgrade this technology you will need to have built a level 10 academy, researched and leveled your informatics to level 5 and military science to level 8. You also need to pay a cost of 5,000 food, 2,000 iron and 10,000 gold. Along with a 1 hour research time, these prerequisites are require to level to level 1 privateering. As you upgrade this technology the prerequisites increase, and it is a very costly technology to research all the way to level 10.

A new feature with Evony Age 2 is that you can link your Evony account with your Facebook account. Linking your Evony account to Facebook has many advantages, and I think it’s almost a must if you want to be successful in Evony Age 2. The obvious thing it does is to make it easier to invite your friends on Facebook to play Evony Age 2 with you, and the application also makes sure that your friends start up on the same server and close to the same area as you do. This gives you a chance to easily help your friends get started with Evony quickly.

Another huge advantage with linking to your Facebook account is the gifts and resources you get from it. If you get lots of your friends to join Evony through Facebook you will get tons of cool rewards. People have built up massive armies early on with the help of Facebook integration. There are five type of resources boxes you can buy in the Evony Age II store, that is the riding rain, the iron ore box, the wooden box, the gemstone box and the fabric box. These boxes contain the resources you need to produce gear for your heroes in your workshop. Each each box contain 2-4 of the resource. I believe you can get the resources inside these boxes from attacks on both NPCs, valleys and other players. The resources are Wood, Iron Ore, Thorough Breds, Gemstones and Fabric.
