1 million Archers killed in one attack
This attack report was posted in the Evony forums today. It is an attack report from server 52 where one player takes out more than 1 million archers in one attack. This is the most archers I’ve ever seen killed in one attack. The player making the attack is named Gil, and he used 1000 scouts, 29000 cavalry and 70000 cataphracts. He had a level 361 attack hero and was up against a level 261 attack hero. He had taken out all the layers before the archers, apart from 72 warriors, so the cavalry and cataphracts went straight to the archers and did maximum damage. The attack report is posted below, you can click on it to make it larger. Read the rest of this entry »
Battering ram attacks
The battering ram in Evony is the strongest close combat troop there is. It has crazy life and defence stats of 160 and 5,000! No other troop type in Evony comes even close to this. This means it can pretty much walk through huge amounts of other troops before taking serious damage. A full army of battering rams is very hard to stop.

Rainbow attack level 10 NPC city with almost no losses
A Evony rainbow attack is layering your main attack troop, usually archers or cavalry, with other types of troops to reduce losses. In these attacks on a level 10 NPC barbarian city the player looses almost no troops at all cause of his layering. The troops used are archers, warriors, workers and transports, 100k troops total. It is very important that you have maximum technologies when trying this, and you also need a hero with 130 or more attack power. The higher attack power of your hero the lower losses you will have. You can also use penicillin and war horn to reduce losses even more. The numbers of different troops used in both of these attacks are listed below.

Cataphracts
Cataphracts, also called phracts, are the most deadly of your horseback units, doing both more damage and having more life than the cavalry. Cataphracts are quite a bit slower than cavalry though, but still fast enough to reach enemy archers and do massive damage to them. As with the cavlary you need to layer your cataphract attacks correctly. Since they are slower than cavalry you can layer cataphracts with both cavalry and scouts. It can also be a good idea to take out enemy layers with other troops in small suicide attacks before sending in the cataphracts, the phracts are really expensive and timely to rebuild after all. How many warriors to send at valleys and NPCs to gain prestige
This is a list saying how many warriors you need to send to win against the defense of valleys and NPC villages of various levels. To get maximum prestige you have to kill as many as your own troops as possible, while still not loosing the battle. This is a pretty good way to gain prestige if you have warriors to spare.
I’ve tested these numbers against valleys with a 100 attack hero, but I’m sure you can use a lower level one if you don’t have that. When it comes to the NPC villages I’ve used a hero with 146 attack. A level 10 NPC village can not be successfully attacked with just warriors, here you will need other troops too, usually archers.
