1 million Archers killed in one attack
This attack report was posted in the Evony forums today. It is an attack report from server 52 where one player takes out more than 1 million archers in one attack. This is the most archers I’ve ever seen killed in one attack. The player making the attack is named Gil, and he used 1000 scouts, 29000 cavalry and 70000 cataphracts. He had a level 361 attack hero and was up against a level 261 attack hero. He had taken out all the layers before the archers, apart from 72 warriors, so the cavalry and cataphracts went straight to the archers and did maximum damage. The attack report is posted below, you can click on it to make it larger. Read the rest of this entry »
Abatis
Abatis is the second best fortification there is Evony in my opinion. It is very important to have some of these in your city defense, but not too many. For a city with a maxed wall I usually go for about 1500 abatis. The great thing with the abatis is that it only affects cavalry and cataphracts, so it is not possible to kill off someones abatis with warrior cleaning waves. The abatis also extends combat range to 5,000 which in some battles is really important. A city without any abatis is really vulnerable to cavalry and cataphract attacks. Cavalry attacks with layering
Cavalry can take out massive amounts of archers with the right layering, so cavalry or ponies as they are also often called are really useful troops in Evony these days. The cavalry attacks are used in PvP, as there are no PvE situations where you will meet 100k or more archers. When using cavalry to take on huge armies you need to use some form of layering, if not your ponies will hardly do any damage at all, you can see that in the combat report below. How many warriors to send at valleys and NPCs to gain prestige
This is a list saying how many warriors you need to send to win against the defense of valleys and NPC villages of various levels. To get maximum prestige you have to kill as many as your own troops as possible, while still not loosing the battle. This is a pretty good way to gain prestige if you have warriors to spare.
I’ve tested these numbers against valleys with a 100 attack hero, but I’m sure you can use a lower level one if you don’t have that. When it comes to the NPC villages I’ve used a hero with 146 attack. A level 10 NPC village can not be successfully attacked with just warriors, here you will need other troops too, usually archers.
