All the terrain spaces around your cities are called valleys in Evony, actually the only things on the map that are not valleys are player cities and NPC barbarian cities. In browser game Evony you can only attack with 100,000 troops total at any given time, that is if you have a level 10 rally point. Sometimes being able to increase this number of troops can be very useful, later in game armies get huge after all. The War ensign is the item you can use to increase the number of troops you can send in one attack by 25%. You just click the item to use it, then you will see that you can send 125,000 as the new total number of troops from your rally point.
