How to get medals on old Evony servers, drop guide
The medal drop rates of the older servers, server one to 55 that is, is about 15% at best. 15% medal drop rate is very good though, much better than all the other servers. I guess they keep the medal drop rate this high here to make it easier for newer players to catch up with the old ones. Anyways, to get medals here you just attack valleys and NPCs according to the list given below. In about one or two attacks out of ten you should get a medal. Read the rest of this entry »
Instant conquering of level 10 NPC using camp time
This Evony guide will show you how to conquer a level 10 NPC in less than one minute by timing attacks from several different of your villages using camp time. This NPC can be far away from you, as far as 100 miles, so it’s just like anĀ advancedĀ teleport without the delay. This can be really useful if you want a forward base far away from you to launch attacks from.
The number of troops you need to do this is about 130,000 archers, 400,000 warriors and transports. You also need a high attack hero as well as maxed technology. Most players have way more troops than this on older servers, so it shouldn’t be a problem. Read the rest of this entry »
Evony defense guide
Defending your cities is obviously very important in Evony. For defense you can use both a lot of scouts so they are not able to find out how many troops you have or just a lot of defense troops so they can’t manage to beat you anyways. In addition to your troops you need a lot of fortifications, I recommend archers towers, they are effective against almost anything the enemy can send at you.
I also recommend having gate closed usually, unless you’re able to have a huge defense army in town, or you are only and manage to figure out how large of an army your enemy sends against you. It’s true that more powerfull players will destroy your fortifications frequently, but they are pretty cheap to rebuild after all. If you keep rebuilding fortifications and don’t have much resources worth to plunder other players will proabably just leave you alone. Read the rest of this entry »
Patch notes 2. June 2009
UMGE is listening to it’s player base and have started posting patch notes when the patches are being applied it seems. This is really good news, since we know will actually know what’s happening. The defensive trebuchet seems pretty cool, looking forward to try that out. Read the rest of this entry »
Ballista Nerf and rockfalls patch June 01.09
It seems there has been another change to the way ballistas work when attacking NPC villages. They have been changed in a patch June 01.09 but no patch notes have been released. It is really a bad habit to change the mechanics of the game without releasing patch notes, and I hope UMGE will stop doing that.

Teleport around to gain honor
Teleporing around to gain honor quickly is actually quite a lot of fun, it’s really effective if you’ve run out of good targets in your area. I’ve done it a few times, and gained honor quite easily this way. What you need is an army large enough to defend one village against most attacks, at least 50k archers and 100k warriors, as well as a few teleport scrolls. Teleports are pretty cheap, only $3 each, but the best is to win them with your amulets of course. Read the rest of this entry »
How do I gain honor points in Evony?
Honor in Evony is pretty easy to get, and also pretty easy to lose quickly. The more honor you have the easier it is to lose it. You can even lose honor when you’re winning your battles. Here I’ll give a few tips on honor in Evony, how to gain honor points and stop losing them.
You gain honor points by killing the troops or fortifications of other players, killing NPC troops will not give you any honor at all, but the NPCs might give you prestige. Anyways, the more enemy troops you kill the more honor you get. However, when you get your own troops killed in battle you lose honor, so you have to both win the battle and lose less troops than your enemy to gain honor in the battle. More expensive troops are worth more when it comes to honor. Read the rest of this entry »
