Evony Age 2 Guide

The ironmine will produce the iron you need for your Evony Age 2 empire. This resource producing building is just the same as the iron mine of Evony Age 1. Iron is the second most important resource in Evony, and several players have a few iron cities in their empire. Early on iron is not important however, as it is mostly wood and stone you need to construct the first buildings for your empire.

The reason iron is getting more and more important eventually, is that almost all troops of Evony Age 2 take a lot of iron to produce. Troop production will the what you will spend most of your resources on eventually, and that’s why having a high iron production is important. Look at the table below for more details. Metal casting is a technology which helps your city’s defenses. It is required to decrease production time of defenses for your city. Also some of your city’s defense structures require you to upgrade metal casting. Each time you upgrade this technology, you will gain a 10% decrease in production time of defenses for your city.

As with other technology upgrades, there are certain prerequisites you need before you can upgrade to another level. To level up metal casting to level 1, you need to have a level 3 academy, level 2 workshop, 1000 lumber, 1000 iron, 10000 gold. The build time is 30 minutes.
