Scouts

with 6 comments

The scout is a very useful unit in Evony Age 2, and you want to have several of these in each of your cities all the time. The scouts are pretty weak when it comes to attack and defense, but their main purpose is to do scouting missions after all. The scouts also defend you against other players scouting your cities. You only need level 2 barracks to build scouts, and in my opinion getting a few 100 scouts is the first thing you should do starting up on a new Evony Age 2 server. Read the rest of this entry »

Beacon Tower

without comments

The beacon tower allows you to be warned in the cases of an incoming invasion towards your city. It sends you information about the invasion like army size, time the invading army might arrive, and heroes which are marching with the invading army.

When you level this building, it allows you to gain more information about the invasion. An example is, at level 2 the beacon tower will send you information if the invading army is marching to plunder or to scout. So as you upgrade the more info it will give you about the invasion. It is also said that upgrading informatics will also play a role on the information given by the beacon tower. The building is a must for every city that you have, as getting information about incoming attacks is really important.

Ears and eyes in Enemy’s city

with 2 comments

Using this stratagem you will get detailed information about one of your enemy’s cities. This can be useful later in the game when your opponents often will have millions of scouts in some of their cities. Using this stratagem you don’t have to sacrifice lots of your own scouts to get the information you need.

Sow spies in Enemy’s Camp

with one comment

This offense stratagem is really useful I think, especially later in the game. When other players has millions of scouts in their cities it is very hard to scout them the normal way. Using this stratagem you can see how many troops they have in their city without having to use and scouts of your own. The stratagem is quite cheap compared to the other offense stratagems, so I can see this being one being used quite a lot.

Beacon tower

with 6 comments

The beacon tower is quite an important building in browser game Evony. The beacon tower will warn you on incoming attacks on your city, and the higher the level of your beacon tower is, the more information you will get about the incoming attack. I advice you to have a beacon tower in each of your cities and get them to level 9 as quickly as possible. If you’re hardly ever attacked this isn’t very important, but most players are attacked now and then, and then it is a huge advantage to get as much information you can about the incoming army. Evony endgame – checking if opponent is online

with 4 comments

Before attacking, and especially scout bombing, strong players in the endgame of Evony it is important to figure out if they are online or offline. If they are online they can just keep their gates open if you send archers or cavalry at them, and close them if you send scout bombs having all your scouts die on their fortifications. Here are a few tricks you can use to figure out if the player you are about to attack is online.

If his gates are open you can start sending a 100k scout bomb to the target. You send 1 scout on a scout mission to land at the same time or 1 second after the scout bomb attack. Turn back the 100k scout bomb at the last second. If you see the gate is suddenly closed you know the player is online and closed his gates to defend against the scout bomb. Saving high level heroes

with 7 comments

Today I saw a post in the Evony forum about a guy loosing his level 295 hero with 358 attack. Losing a high level hero like that really sucks, cause it takes a long time and lots of hard work to get a hero to this level. It is very unnecessary to lose a high level hero like this though, as long as you are careful chances you’ll lose a high level hero are pretty much 0, just follow these two rules.
