Evony Age 2 Guide

I’m sorry for not being able to update this Evony Age 2 wiki website for a long time. I’ve been very busy with other projects, but I think I will be able to find more time to put into the site from now on. This post is just a list of the names of all the historic heroes that I have seen so far in Evony Age 2. The list is probably not complete, so if you know of any Evony Age 2 heroes not listed heres please do post a comment so that I can add them to the list.

The stats of the different heroes are fixed and not random, and the top attack heroes I’ve seen so far are Henry IV with a base attack of 99, Nadar Shah with base attack of 98 and Saladin, Hannibal and Genghis Kahn all with base attack of 97. I will try to get all stats for all of the heroes posted here as soon as I am able to gather the information, any help is appreciated. The list is posted below and will be updated as often as possible.

The Inn is the building where you recruit your heroes from. If you increase the level of your Inn you get a wider selection of heroes to choose from, however, it is usually better to keep the level of your Inn low and recruit and fire heroes rapidly until you find a hero that you want. The heroes you get from high level Inns are usually worse than the low level heroes you get from level 1 Inns. Even if you don’t hire any heroes from your Inn, it will still refresh the list of available heroes every day.

A new feature of the Inn that comes with Evony Age 2 is hearsay. You need to upgrade your Inn to level 5 to get this option, so in Evony Age 2 keeping all Inns at level 1 is not a good option anymore. Listening to hearsay in your Inn tells you were powerful Folk Heroes are located, and you can then go an capture these heroes and make them your own. The feasting hall is the building in Evony where you manage your heroes. For each level you upgrade your feasting hall you can hire one more hero. You recruit your heroes from the Inn, but once it is recruited you manage everything that has to do with the hero in the feasting hall. Things like checking the status of heroes, upgrade stats, give rewards and dismiss heroes are done here, and it is also here you have to persuade or release heroes you have capture.

With the introduction of Evony Age 2, the feasting hall got some new exciting features. You can now put gear on your heroes from the feasting hall interface. Each hero has 16 available slots he can use to place gear in, that is mount, shield, legs, weaponry, feet, 2 rings, 2 charms, belts, gauntlets, chest, back, shoulders, head and neck. You can read more about heroes and gear here.

This offense stratagem decreases the strength of one of your opponents heroes by 30% to 80%. It is not possible to use this stratagem twice to the same hero in  a 24 hour period. I haven’t tested this stratagem out yet, but I can see it being useful in some situations.

Today I saw a post in the Evony forum about a guy loosing his level 295 hero with 358 attack. Losing a high level hero like that really sucks, cause it takes a long time and lots of hard work to get a hero to this level. It is very unnecessary to lose a high level hero like this though, as long as you are careful chances you’ll lose a high level hero are pretty much 0, just follow these two rules. The holy water item in Evony is very useful, and it’s also very cheap at only 20 cents. This is the item you use to make the best heroes you can in the Evony browser game. Using a holy water you can reset 10 of the hero’s ability points, this is good since you can then reassign any points the hero has spent in other attributes than their main one. Heroes should only focus on either politics, attack or intelligence, not a mix of then. Read the rest of this entry »
