Tax Policy

without comments

The Tax Policy is an item available in Evony which will increase revenue generated from taxes by 100% for a duration of 24 hours. The ideal time to use this item would be at the beginning of day 3 or 4. Once you have put up all of your cottages, exceeded 16k citizens between both of your cities and taxed them at 50%, you will have netted over 200k gold which is equivalent to lots of extra archers depending on resources costs. You can purchase a Tax Policy through the Evony Store for 45 cents.

Folk hearsay and folk heroes

with 15 comments

In Evony Age II there is something called folk heroes. These are special type of heroes which are quite strong. You can get these heroes by listening to the folk hearsay in your inn. You get this option in your inn once the building reaches level 5. The more you increase the level of your inn the more folk heroes you can get hearsay about.

You have three options you can choose from when it comes to Folk Hearsay. More Hearsay refreshes the list of folk heroes in your inn at an expense of 100 gold. Enquire Details gives you the accurate location of the Folk Hero as well as a portrait of him which is necessary in order to capture him. You need to spend some gold to get this information. Search lets you search for a specific hero by name, this will cost you 1,000 gold.

Increasing population and earning gold

with one comment

Having a high population early on in the game is pretty important as that will give you a high tax income. Early on most resources are really cheap in terms of gold, so having a high gold income is much more important than having a high resources production. Early on a new server you can often buy wood for as low as 0.1 gold a piece and food sometimes as low as 0.02 for each. Read the rest of this entry »

Pillaging other players – early PvP

with 14 comments

Attacking other players for resources is a very good way to grow quickly at the start of a new server in Evony. Be careful not to attack someone with a larger army than you though, since loosing you whole army will really hurt you. In addition to not being able to pillage other players you will probably be pillaged a lot yourself and wake up every morning with no resources in any of your cities. Read the rest of this entry »

Saving high level heroes

with 7 comments

Today I saw a post in the Evony forum about a guy loosing his level 295 hero with 358 attack. Losing a high level hero like that really sucks, cause it takes a long time and lots of hard work to get a hero to this level. It is very unnecessary to lose a high level hero like this though, as long as you are careful chances you’ll lose a high level hero are pretty much 0, just follow these two rules. The most important Evony technologies

with 6 comments

Researching technologies is pretty important in Evony, so I thought I’d write an article about which technologies you should go for first. After a few months of play time you should have all technologies at level 10, but choosing the right order of researching them can give you an edge in the game on a new server starting up. You have 3 types of technologies in Evony, resource bonus technologies, combat technolgies and city technologies. Some technologies are way cheaper and take less time to research than others, so this is also something you should think about when deciding what to research next. Read the rest of this entry »
