Evony Strategy Guide

A Evony rainbow attack is layering your main attack troop, usually archers or cavalry, with other types of troops to reduce losses. In these attacks on a level 10 NPC barbarian city the player looses almost no troops at all cause of his layering. The troops used are archers, warriors, workers and transports, 100k troops total. It is very important that you have maximum technologies when trying this, and you also need a hero with 130 or more attack power. The higher attack power of your hero the lower losses you will have. You can also use penicillin and war horn to reduce losses even more. The numbers of different troops used in both of these attacks are listed below.

Getting medals in Evony enables you to gain prestige, higher rank and title, and enables you to build more villages, so it’s pretty important knowing where to get them. You can buy medals using real money if you want to, but it’s pretty expensive, so most players probably wants to get them by themselves. In this guide I show you where to get the different medals, and how to get them most efficiently. There are 9 different medals, cross medal, rose medal, lion medal, honor medal, courage medal, freedom medal, wisdom medal, justice medal and nation medal, and some are much harder to get than others. This is a list saying how many warriors you need to send to win against the defense of valleys and NPC villages of various levels. To get maximum prestige you have to kill as many as your own troops as possible, while still not loosing the battle. This is a pretty good way to gain prestige if you have warriors to spare.

I’ve tested these numbers against valleys with a 100 attack hero, but I’m sure you can use a lower level one if you don’t have that. When it comes to the NPC villages I’ve used a hero with 146 attack. A level 10 NPC village can not be successfully attacked with just warriors, here you will need other troops too, usually archers. iEvony is an Evony application that lets you get Evony cents for free. The way to get the iEvony cents is to earn credits in the iEvony application by inviting your friends to join the Evony game. For some reason iEvony is an open Beta or an invite only application, and it has been that for a while, so to be able to join you have to use an invitation code. Rank in Evony is pretty useless really, the only thing you need it for is to level up your title. I don’t know why the included the ranks in Evony at all, as it serves no other purpose than a prerequisite for something else, but maybe it will be used for something in Evony Age 2, who knows. Anyways, you start out in Evony as a civilian, and there are 6 ranks total. The other ranks you can get are lieutenant,  captain, major, colonel and general. Read the rest of this entry »

There are 9 different titles you can have in Evony, knight, baronet, baron, viscount, earl, marquis, duke, furstin and prinzessin. This is not the same as rank, so don’t mix them up. When you start the game your title is knight, and as a knight you can own 2 cities total. To be allowed to build another city you need to level up to the title baronet. To build your forth city you need the title baron, the fifth city viscount, etc. When you get the title prinzessin you can build your tenth city, this is the maximum in the game. The medal drop rates of the older servers, server one to 55 that is, is about 15% at best. 15% medal drop rate is very good though, much better than all the other servers. I guess they keep the medal drop rate this high here to make it easier for newer players to catch up with the old ones. Anyways, to get medals here you just attack valleys and NPCs according to the list given below. In about one or two attacks out of ten you should get a medal. Read the rest of this entry »
