Evony Age 2 Guide

Hero Hunting is an item available by quest or purchase through Evony which allows you to refresh the Inn’s Hero Recruitment List. The list will reset at server down unless you chose to use a Hero Hunting item. Many people think it is a bad idea to progress to anything beyond a level one inn because this causes the level of the hero to increase as well. With a higher level inn, you are much less likely to receive a hero who is specialized in one attribute and is much harder to level up.

It should also be noted that cycling through heroes can also become very expensive. A trick to cycle through heroes is to keep your inn at level one while recruiting and dismissing new heroes until you find one that suits you. Each time a hero is dismissed, a new hero will be added to the queue. You can get a Hero Hunting item once you reach level four by selecting it from the package icon at the top left corner of your screen. Hero Hunting has an Evony Price of 5 cents.

The feasting hall is the building in Evony where you manage your heroes. For each level you upgrade your feasting hall you can hire one more hero. You recruit your heroes from the Inn, but once it is recruited you manage everything that has to do with the hero in the feasting hall. Things like checking the status of heroes, upgrade stats, give rewards and dismiss heroes are done here, and it is also here you have to persuade or release heroes you have capture.

With the introduction of Evony Age 2, the feasting hall got some new exciting features. You can now put gear on your heroes from the feasting hall interface. Each hero has 16 available slots he can use to place gear in, that is mount, shield, legs, weaponry, feet, 2 rings, 2 charms, belts, gauntlets, chest, back, shoulders, head and neck. You can read more about heroes and gear here.

Appointing a mayor in Evony is pretty basic stuff, but there are still  quite a few new players joining the game. Evony is one of the largest MMO strategy browser games out there after all. Anyways, to appoint a mayor you first have to build an Inn and then a Feasting Hall. You need to recruit at least one hero from your Inn, since you need a hero to have a mayor. For each level of your Feating Hall you can recruit one extra hero. All a higher Inn does is giving you more heroes to chose from, and also higher level heroes to chose from. Today I saw a post in the Evony forum about a guy loosing his level 295 hero with 358 attack. Losing a high level hero like that really sucks, cause it takes a long time and lots of hard work to get a hero to this level. It is very unnecessary to lose a high level hero like this though, as long as you are careful chances you’ll lose a high level hero are pretty much 0, just follow these two rules. Building a new city in Evony is actually quite easy. First you need to have a high enough title, to build your second village you need to be a Knight. You get to that title by following the promotion quests, and you need the items in your beginner package. You find your package under the package symbol top left on your screen.
