Evony Age 2 Guide

Senior Guidelines is an Evony item that effectively reduces the construction and research time by 8 hours. Like the Master Guidelines, this item is only useful later on in the game when you are dealing with 8+ hour build times. You shouldn’t have any use for this item in the early stage of the game. The Senior Guidelines can be obtained by either completing quests, increasing your Promotion Title or buying from the Evony Store for 50 cents.

Commission quests is a new feature of Evony Age 2. Commission quests are quests that you can offer to other players in reward for Evony game cents. At the moment there are only one type of commission quest you can offer other players, but I expect there to be more types of commission quests available in the future.

The quest type available now is the anti-colonization commission quest. What this does is that it lets another player help you in the uprising battle against your Suzerain and take your colonized city back. When you issue the quest you can choose how much the reward is, the better the reward is the more player you will probably get wanting to do your quest. Today there were quite a few changes in how the Facebook applications work together with Evony Age 2. Many people have complained that Facebook had too much influence over gameplay in Evony Age 2. You could get massive armies extremely quickly if you had a lot of Facebook friends playing Evony, and this ruined the game for some players.

Dawnseeker says in a post today that they wanted Facebook to be a fun addition to Evony, not a major component of gameplay. Because of that they have reduced how large the rewards from Facebook are, and also how many gifts you can send other players through Facebook every day. Everyone is wondering these days when is Evony Age 2 going live on all the servers. The Evony Age 2 Beta server only has room for 10,000 players after all, and it is not the same just playing on a beta server where everything you do will be deleted once beta is over. The Evony developers and moderators have so far only said in the forums that Evony Age 2 will go live on all servers whenever they feel it has been tested out fully and they are happy with it.

Yesterday however, Evony Radio posted that they will have a radio show this Saturday where they will interview Dawnseeker about the Evony Age 2 release. Actually it was Dawnseeker that asked Evony Radio to have this radio show, so I expect him to give some breaking news when it comes to Evony Age 2. I know there are lots of Evony bots, city management scripts and other types of tools out there for Evony. I’ve written about these cheats for Evony before in various articles on this website, but I’ve decided to stop doing so now. With Evony Age II coming out soon I believe it is much better to try to get rid of this bot problem. I believe Evony Age II looks really good, and I hope bots and city management scripts won’t be as much of a problem in this new version of Evony, as it has been in the old one. Many of these bots and script don’t even work anymore anyways, and to my knowledge there are no tools like these that work for Evony Age II. Read the rest of this entry »

There are five different positions in an Evony alliance. All members in an alliance start out as a standard member, they can’t do anything special in the alliance apart from quitting the alliance. If they quit they will loose 10% of their prestige, this goes for any type of alliance member.

The next rank in the alliance is the officer. They have the permission to accept new members to an alliance, but they can not promote any members to higher positions. They can also send out alliance invitations. There can be a total of 10 officers in an alliance, the total number of any kind of member in an Evony alliance is 100. Read the rest of this entry »

Controlling your gates and deciding when to open your gate to fight is an important aspect of Evony. Some form of attacks work very well on your city when your gates are open, and some work very well when your gates are closed. All this assumes that you have filled up your wall with fortifications of course, but most cities will be filled up with that within a week after they are built. I suggest mostly archer towers and some traps and abatis as well.

If your city is well defended you usually want to have your gates open at all times. If you have your gates closed other players can easily run in with 100k archers and destroy all your archers towers and traps. Then they can send in some cavalry to take out your abatis and leave your city with no fortifications left at all. They will also most likely have taken a huge chunk of your honor in the process.
