Evony Age 2 Guide

A new feature of Evony Age II is that you can colonize the city of another player. When you colonize someone you don’t completely own this city, you just have some control over it. To colonize a city you first have to declare war against it, click on the city you wish to colonize and click on the “Declare War” button. Then you have to wait 30 minutes for the war declaring period to end before you can launch your colonization attack.

Click on the city and click “Colonize” launch the colonization attack. You need to attack the city successfully to start the colonization, so make sure you send enough troops to win the battle. This is just a short guide on how to join the Evony Age 2 Beta. Everyone can join the Evony Age 2 Beta as long as they are active enough. Every 24 hours inactive players are deleted from the Evony Age 2 Beta server, I know this as my Beta account was deleted once cause of this reason. This means that when you get started with the Evony Age 2 Beta test you have to log in every day to make sure your account won’t be deleted.

When joining the beta server you log in with a login and password you use already on any of the other servers, only chose one login as it is not allowed to have two accounts on the beta server. Do not try to register a new account on the beta server, that will not work, just type in your login information from another server even if you have never played the Evony Age 2 beta before.

If you get the message “We’re sorry, but we’ve reached the 10,000 active logins quota for Evony: Age II live beta today. Please try again in 24 hours time.”, it means the beta server is full right now. You have to wait till they delete some players, which they do every 24 hours, so just try again tomorrow. There has been quite a few useful changes to the rally point of Evony Age II. The first thing you’ll probably notice is that the rally point window can now be made transparent so that you can see the map while you’re in the rally point. It is also possible to preset troops from the rally point now, a feature I can see being really useful when farming NPCs for food or valleys for medals. You have 3 different preset troop numbers you can save in your rally point.

The third option I’ve noticed with the rally point is the fugitive camp. When you run out of food some of your troops will go here for a while, instead of dying right away. They don’t stay here forever, so make sure you retrieve them before they are permanently lost. Read the rest of this entry »

Another new feature of Evony Age II is the Stratagems. These are items you can buy in the Evony Age II store and use for various purposes. There are two type of Stratagems, offensive stratagems and defensive stratagems. Some of the stratagems are really powerful like the “Burn the Warehouses” stratagem that lets you destroy 10% – 50% of your targets food. If someone had saved up billions of food for months this is way too powerful in my opinion.

There is also a huge difference in price between the offensive and the defensive stratagems. Some offensive stratagems cost as much as 100 cents, while all the defensive stratagems cost either 5 or 10 cents. I guess that is to make it easier for players that don’t want to spend a lot of money on the game to defend themselves. Below is a list of all the stratagems and how much they cost to use.

A new feature of Evony Age II is that you can equip heroes with different types of equipment and items. These different type of hero gear all adds different attribute points to your hero. The gear can has a level called star level, you can upgrade the star level of your gear in the workshop using delicate and flawless gems. You put gear on your hero in the feasting hall.

Each hero has 16 available slots he can use to place gear in, that is mount, shield, legs, weaponry, feet, 2 rings, 2 charms, belts, gauntlets, chest, back, shoulders, head and neck. As you can see the heroes of Evony Age 2 can get really powerful if you give them good gear. What type of gear your hero can be equipped with depends on his level. The lowest level possible that can use gear is a level 10 hero, he can use level 1 gear. You can see what type of heroes can wear what gear in this table.

You make the gear in your workshop and you can decide what focus the gear should have when you put in on your hero. If you equip your hero with all level 1 equipment without gems that is focused on attack he will get +16 attack. If you upgrade your gears star level you can get even higher bonuses, read about star levels here. With high level equipment your hero could get an increase of several hundred points in the attribute of your choice!

To log in and try Evony Age II you need a invitation link to it, so ask your friends and other people you know if they have a link.
