Evony Age 2 Guide

Commission quests is a new feature of Evony Age 2. Commission quests are quests that you can offer to other players in reward for Evony game cents. At the moment there are only one type of commission quest you can offer other players, but I expect there to be more types of commission quests available in the future.

The quest type available now is the anti-colonization commission quest. What this does is that it lets another player help you in the uprising battle against your Suzerain and take your colonized city back. When you issue the quest you can choose how much the reward is, the better the reward is the more player you will probably get wanting to do your quest. Many players think that the hill of Evony Age 2 is used to increase your stone production, but this is actually false. It is understandable though, as the hill does look like a mountain after all where you could get stone from. What the hill does is to actually increase your iron production by a certain percentage. All valleys increase your resource production apart from flats, which are valleys you can conquer and build new cities on.

The percentage the valley will increase your resource production can vary from just 3 % up to as much as 36%. Like I said before, this depends on the level of the valley, but it can also vary between valleys of the same level too. Number of troops and type of troops that defend each valley also differs, but generally higher level valleys have more and stronger troops.

A new feature with Evony Age 2 is that you can link your Evony account with your Facebook account. Linking your Evony account to Facebook has many advantages, and I think it’s almost a must if you want to be successful in Evony Age 2. The obvious thing it does is to make it easier to invite your friends on Facebook to play Evony Age 2 with you, and the application also makes sure that your friends start up on the same server and close to the same area as you do. This gives you a chance to easily help your friends get started with Evony quickly.

Another huge advantage with linking to your Facebook account is the gifts and resources you get from it. If you get lots of your friends to join Evony through Facebook you will get tons of cool rewards. People have built up massive armies early on with the help of Facebook integration. This may be old news to most Evony players by now, but in case you haven’t read the thread in the Evony forum about the Evony Age 2 transition I thought it would be a good idea to mention it here. Many players wanted to keep playing Evony Age 1 the way it is, and the Evony Team has listened and they will keep the Evony Age 1 servers the way they are. Noone will loose their heroes or cities or anything on the servers they are already playing at. Instead they will make new servers for Evony Age 2 where everyone will start out at the same level. This is just a short guide on how to join the Evony Age 2 Beta. Everyone can join the Evony Age 2 Beta as long as they are active enough. Every 24 hours inactive players are deleted from the Evony Age 2 Beta server, I know this as my Beta account was deleted once cause of this reason. This means that when you get started with the Evony Age 2 Beta test you have to log in every day to make sure your account won’t be deleted.

When joining the beta server you log in with a login and password you use already on any of the other servers, only chose one login as it is not allowed to have two accounts on the beta server. Do not try to register a new account on the beta server, that will not work, just type in your login information from another server even if you have never played the Evony Age 2 beta before.

If you get the message “We’re sorry, but we’ve reached the 10,000 active logins quota for Evony: Age II live beta today. Please try again in 24 hours time.”, it means the beta server is full right now. You have to wait till they delete some players, which they do every 24 hours, so just try again tomorrow. Many players have had the problem when they try logging in to Evony Age 2 that they get a Blue Screen and the game is not loading. In the forum Evony give the following advice on how to fix this.

• Quit your browsing session
• Clear your Cache, History, and Cookies
• Update your Flash Player
• Attempt to log back in

If this does not help you get rid of the blue screen they advice you to post in the forum telling them your web browser, operating system and the current version of your web browser.

Evony won’t give any information about Evony Age 2, so why not speculate a little. There are several Evony clones out there that have several extra features which Evony don’t have. These games claim to have nothing to do with Evony, even though they are exactly similar apart from a few extra features and the graphics. One of these features is the capitals. In the Evony clone NapWar these are called Realms of Power and come in 4 different types, Town, Fortress, Provincial Capital and Royal Capital. In another Evony clone called Kingory they are called County, Shire, Prefecture and Capital. Apart from the names they are exactly the same, and I would be surprised if this feature was not a part of Evony Age 2. Read the rest of this entry »
