Evony Age 2 Guide

I’m sorry for not being able to update this Evony Age 2 wiki website for a long time. I’ve been very busy with other projects, but I think I will be able to find more time to put into the site from now on. This post is just a list of the names of all the historic heroes that I have seen so far in Evony Age 2. The list is probably not complete, so if you know of any Evony Age 2 heroes not listed heres please do post a comment so that I can add them to the list.

The stats of the different heroes are fixed and not random, and the top attack heroes I’ve seen so far are Henry IV with a base attack of 99, Nadar Shah with base attack of 98 and Saladin, Hannibal and Genghis Kahn all with base attack of 97. I will try to get all stats for all of the heroes posted here as soon as I am able to gather the information, any help is appreciated. The list is posted below and will be updated as often as possible.

In this guide I will go through all the cool stuff you can do when you integrate your Evony account with your Facebook account. All of this goes through the Evony Facebook Application, and make sure you use the official Evony application to send gifts to other players, there are actually a fake gift application out there. To make sure of this, always use the Facebook toolbar inside of the Evony client to send gifts to other players.

Integrating your Evony account with your Facebook account is easy, just click the blue and white Facebook icon to the left of your Evony screen, just beside the city list. The worker is your most basic transport unit in Evony. You will pretty much only use them early on, as the transporters you will get later in the game are much better. Workers can only carry 200 resources each, which is way less than the transporters that can carry 5,000 resources. The worker is pretty useless in battle and dies very easily. All in all it’s pretty much the worst troop in Evony, and don’t build any more of them than just enough to build cities.

Senior Guidelines is an Evony item that effectively reduces the construction and research time by 8 hours. Like the Master Guidelines, this item is only useful later on in the game when you are dealing with 8+ hour build times. You shouldn’t have any use for this item in the early stage of the game. The Senior Guidelines can be obtained by either completing quests, increasing your Promotion Title or buying from the Evony Store for 50 cents.

Commission quests is a new feature of Evony Age 2. Commission quests are quests that you can offer to other players in reward for Evony game cents. At the moment there are only one type of commission quest you can offer other players, but I expect there to be more types of commission quests available in the future.

The quest type available now is the anti-colonization commission quest. What this does is that it lets another player help you in the uprising battle against your Suzerain and take your colonized city back. When you issue the quest you can choose how much the reward is, the better the reward is the more player you will probably get wanting to do your quest. Today there were quite a few changes in how the Facebook applications work together with Evony Age 2. Many people have complained that Facebook had too much influence over gameplay in Evony Age 2. You could get massive armies extremely quickly if you had a lot of Facebook friends playing Evony, and this ruined the game for some players.

Dawnseeker says in a post today that they wanted Facebook to be a fun addition to Evony, not a major component of gameplay. Because of that they have reduced how large the rewards from Facebook are, and also how many gifts you can send other players through Facebook every day. Everyone is wondering these days when is Evony Age 2 going live on all the servers. The Evony Age 2 Beta server only has room for 10,000 players after all, and it is not the same just playing on a beta server where everything you do will be deleted once beta is over. The Evony developers and moderators have so far only said in the forums that Evony Age 2 will go live on all servers whenever they feel it has been tested out fully and they are happy with it.

Yesterday however, Evony Radio posted that they will have a radio show this Saturday where they will interview Dawnseeker about the Evony Age 2 release. Actually it was Dawnseeker that asked Evony Radio to have this radio show, so I expect him to give some breaking news when it comes to Evony Age 2. Hopefully we will get a date telling us when Evony Age 2 will go live on all the servers and how the upgrade will be done. Read the rest of this entry »
