Evony Facebook Application changes
Today there were quite a few changes in how the Facebook applications work together with Evony Age 2. Many people have complained that Facebook had too much influence over gameplay in Evony Age 2. You could get massive armies extremely quickly if you had a lot of Facebook friends playing Evony, and this ruined the game for some players.
Dawnseeker says in a post today that they wanted Facebook to be a fun addition to Evony, not a major component of gameplay. Because of that they have reduced how large the rewards from Facebook are, and also how many gifts you can send other players through Facebook every day. You can find the details of the changes listed below. Read the rest of this entry »
Evony Age 2 – news on going live
Everyone is wondering these days when is Evony Age 2 going live on all the servers. The Evony Age 2 Beta server only has room for 10,000 players after all, and it is not the same just playing on a beta server where everything you do will be deleted once beta is over. The Evony developers and moderators have so far only said in the forums that Evony Age 2 will go live on all servers whenever they feel it has been tested out fully and they are happy with it.
Yesterday however, Evony Radio posted that they will have a radio show this Saturday where they will interview Dawnseeker about the Evony Age 2 release. Actually it was Dawnseeker that asked Evony Radio to have this radio show, so I expect him to give some breaking news when it comes to Evony Age 2. Hopefully we will get a date telling us when Evony Age 2 will go live on all the servers and how the upgrade will be done. Read the rest of this entry »
Evony cheats and third party software
Evony seems to be getting more and more serious about stopping people from cheating by using third party software to get an edge in the game. Two days ago Evony representative Dawnseeker made a post in the official Evony forum letting everyone know that they had enacted their second enforcement sweep in the past week. He said that both of these sweeps against Evony cheaters targeted players who were using illegal third party software to gain an unfair advantage over players who play the game without cheating.
According to Dawnseeker all players targeted by these sweeps were using illegal third party software or websites to connect to Evony. No players were suspended for any other reason. He also said Evony is committed to protecting their honest players and will continue to aggressively pursue and remove rulebreakers from the game. Read the rest of this entry »
Evony account rules
So what is allowed in Evony when it comes to account sharing and having multiple accounts? Evony representative Dawnseeker made an update to the Evony account rules last week, and this just just a quick summary of what he said.
Playing a single account from multiple locations is allowed. I think we all knew that. So you can log in to your account from whatever location you want to. He also said that account sitting was allowed, I didn’t know this to be honest. What this means is that you can have someone log into your account and play it for you while you are away on vacation. During this time you are not allowed to log in to your account, and you also have to tell an Evony representative about this before you do so. Read the rest of this entry »
More drama in Evony forums
Seems Evony has decided it’s a good idea to start to address some of the complaints people have in the Evony forum. This time it’s the well known Evony representative Dawnseeker who’s replying to several complaints from a guy named Icer. Icer thinks that paying costumers should be threated better by Evony, and has several things that he’s not happy about. I actually agree with some of them, and I am glad that Evony seems to take complaints seriously and answer them. Here is the list and the reply from Dawnseeker. Read the rest of this entry »
