Rally Spot
A rally spot is a building in your city where you assemble your military forces, prepare for war or for military exercises. It is also here where you adjust your army’s status and strength. The rally spot also serves as the location where you determine which strategies to use in times of an invasion or war.
There are several options in the rally spot on how to prepare your army like march, is used to assemble your army for war. The open the gates option allows you to determine if you want your army to defend your city walls or keep them safe inside the barracks. When you level your rally spot’s tier it will increase the amount of troops you can march at one time and increasing its limit in doing so.
Evony Age 2 has made the rally spot much more efficient to use than it was before. There are also some new types of attacks you can send out from the rally spot now, like the colonize attack that you can read more about here. A rally spot is a must have for every city.
Conquering a level 12 historical city
Historical cities, or barbarian cities as they are also called, is a new feature of Evony Age 2. It is quite hard to conquer the historical cities as they have a ton of troops in them. Conquering historical cities is definitely possible however, and doing so will gain you huge advantages in the game, so in this guide I will show you how to conquer the first of these historical cities, the level 12 barbarian city.
First lets look at what kind of defense the level 12 historical city has. Not all level 12 cities will have the same type of troops but all will contain something like 280k warriors, 27k calvary, 40k pikemen, 17k archers and maxed fortifications. There might also be a low number of other troops present, but they won’t really affect the battle much. Read the rest of this entry »
Evony loyalty explained
Loyalty is important in Evony, and your goal should be to have your cities at 100 loyalty at all times. This is the maximum loyalty that you can have. Evony updates your loyalty every sixth minute, this is called an Evony tick, and if your citizens are unhappy by something your loyalty will decrease by 1 every tick. Your loyalty can also decrease if you happen to be attack, this is how you conquer cities in Evony after all. With every successful attack against your city your loyalty will go down. Loyalty is closely relation to tax rate and public grievance, more about this here.
In the start of new servers you’ll manipulate loyalty with comfort reliefs every 15 minutes to keep your population at maximum with 100% tax rate. This is only the first weeks of the server however, when resources are cheap. After that you’ll just keep your tax rate at 0% all the time and thus have loyalty at 100 all the time. Derelict city
An Evony derelict city is a city which has been abandoned by a player. Dereliction of a city in Evony turns the city over to the barbarians. The barbarian cities are also called NPCs, that’s the most common term and it means Non Player Character. Barbarian cities and not ruled by players but by the game itself, and they come in 10 different types. That would be level 1 to level 10 NPC barbarian cities.
A derelict city will be turned into a NPC city with the same level as the flat was before the player city was build. That is how you can actually make NPC cities at the exact level you want them to be. You just conquer a flat of the level you want and then abandon the city you build there. The flat will now be turned into the same level NPC city.
Instant conquering of level 10 NPC using camp time
This Evony guide will show you how to conquer a level 10 NPC in less than one minute by timing attacks from several different of your villages using camp time. This NPC can be far away from you, as far as 100 miles, so it’s just like an advanced teleport without the delay. This can be really useful if you want a forward base far away from you to launch attacks from.
The number of troops you need to do this is about 130,000 archers, 400,000 warriors and transports. You also need a high attack hero as well as maxed technology. Most players have way more troops than this on older servers, so it shouldn’t be a problem. Read the rest of this entry »
Scout bombing combat strategy
The scout bombing or scout bombs strategy seems to be pretty popular these days, and this is how it works. Basically when you send scouts out to attack and city with gates open they will attack the group of units with highest total number of attack points. Cause of that it is a great way to wear down a heavily defended city before sending in the real units to finish the city off. Loosing scouts is real cheap after all, and they are extremely fast to rebuild. Attacking with 100,000 scouts you can take out as many as 30,000 archers or 5,000 ballistas, depending on what troops the target has in his city. Read the rest of this entry »
Conquering a level 10 NPC barbarian village
With the new change to NPC farming, it now takes like 24 hours to regenerate, I thought it might be a good idea to take over a NPC village to help out with food. A NPC village has 37 level 10 farms after all, and produces like half a million food/hour without any valley bonuses at all. It took me about an hour to take over this NPC village. I won’t give everything away here, but I will give you some tips on how to do it.
