Attack button of Evony Age 2
Many Evony Age 1 players have complained that there is no attack button in Evony Age 2. In Age 1 they were used to being able to both plunder other players cities for resources as well as conquering them and making them their own. In Evony Age 2 the game developers decided to get rid of the attack button and switch it out with the colonization button when you select other players cities.
Having no attack option has made Evony Age 2 a much easier place for new players, since you can keep your resources safe and there is no way for other players to steal your resources or capture your cities. Many players feel this make Evony Age 2 too peaceful however, and would like to bring the attack and plunder option back. Read the rest of this entry »
Colonize a city
A new feature of Evony Age II is that you can colonize the city of another player. When you colonize someone you don’t completely own this city, you just have someĀ controlĀ over it. To colonize a city you first have to declare war against it, click on the city you wish to colonize and click on the “Declare War” button. Then you have to wait 30 minutes for the war declaring period to end before you can launch your colonization attack.
Click on the city and click “Colonize” launch the colonization attack. You need to attack the city successfully to start the colonization, so make sure you send enough troops to win the battle. There is a certain colonization time before the city becomes your colony, this is called the suppression time and is 8 hours. Read the rest of this entry »
Evony valleys – a short guide
All the terrain spaces around your cities are called valleys in Evony, actually the only things on the map that are not valleys are player cities and NPC barbarian cities. They come in seven different types, grassland, desert, hill, swamp, lake, forest and flat. The flat is the only type of valley that you can build a new city on, to do this you need to first attack it with enough troops to win the battle and conquer it.
