Evony Age 2 Guide

It’s Halloween in Evony these days, and as usual when holidays come up they have a new package that you can buy, the Halloween Pumpkin Package it’s called, and it will cost you $30 to by. When you buy this package you will also be able to send your friends one Halloween Chest O’ Treats and one Halloween Candy. You need a Halloween Skeleton Key to open the Halloween Chest O’ Treats, the Halloween Candy however your friends can use right away. The Halloween Candy will reduce the upkeep of all your troops by 50% for 24 hours, it is stackable, so if you use two of them you will get reduced upkeep for 48 hours. Using Gems is a new feature of Evony Age II and you use these gems to improve the attributes the gear and items give to your heroes. The gear itself you make in your workshop, while you use the forge to place gems on the gear you have already made, this is called Advanced Blacksmithing. Then you use the feasting hall to equip heroes with gear. Gems are not the same as stratagems or gemstones. Gems in Evony Age II come in 3 types, Rubies, Sapphires and Topazes and each of these come from level 1 to level 10 I believe, even though I’ve only seen level 1 to level 9 so far.

You can buy these gems in the Evony store, and you can also get them from attacks. You can also melt two gems together to make a higher level gem using Advanced Gems Smelting. If you want to buy the gems from the store you buy them in chests. There are 3 types of chests, the Wooden Chest, the Bronze Chest and the Royal Chest. Each chest offers you 1 or 2 gems of level 1-3 for a Wooden Chest, 4-6 for a Bronze Chest and 7-9 for a Royal Chest.  Read the rest of this entry »

Evony sent out messages yesterday about a new item called the dream truce, an item you will get if you spend more than $30 from now until January 20. Yes, that’s right, you always have to spend money to get something from Evony. Several people complained in the forums about this dream truce item, thinking this would give people spending money on the game a massive advantage. From the email Evony sent out it was almost impossible to figure out exactly how this item worked. Mods have been posting in the forum however to clear things up. Read the rest of this entry »

It’s getting close to Christmas, and cause of that Evony wants to give out Christmas presents. For every $30 you spend between December 15. and 27. you will get a Christmas package and Santa’s milk and cookies from Evony. You will also be able to send out 20 special Christmas chests to 20 of your favorite Evony friends. In addition to this you will get one Christmas chest key that you can use to open Christmas chests, that is if any of your friends have sent you chests. You can not buy Christmas chests, you have to have some friends send them to you as a gift.

Quite a few players are unhappy that they actually have to spend $30 to open each of their Christmas gifts, since each key can only open one Christmas chest. If you have a lot of friends opening all your chests can get quite expensive. I think it’s too bad that Evony are making the gift opening process this expensive, doesn’t really feel like Christmas gifts anymore then. Anyways, both the packages and the Christmas chests contains lots of cool stuff like medals, hero hunting, amulets and teleporters. Santa’s milk and cookies are items you can use between 23. and 27. December to halt food consumption. Merry Christmas!
