Evony Age 2 Guide

Primary Guidelines is an item in Evony that decreases the construction time of buildings or research time of technologies. The Primary Guidelines will shorten construction or research time by 1 hour and you get several of this type of item for free with every new account you make You can be obtain the item from completing Quests, title promotion, and by purchasing it directly from the Evony store.

Ultimate Guidelines are an item Evony that will effectively reduce the time taken by construction and research by 30%. Like the Master Guidelines, this item is only useful later on in the game when you are dealing with 8+ hour build times. You shouldn’t have any use for this item in the early stage of the game. Realistically, the Master Guidelines are more valuable than the Ultimate Guidelines. The Ultimate Guidelines can be obtained by either completing quests, increasing your Promotion Title or buying from the Evony Store for 120 cents.

Cataphracts, also called phracts, are the most deadly of your horseback units, doing both more damage and having more life than the cavalry. Cataphracts are quite a bit slower than cavalry though, but still fast enough to reach enemy archers and do massive damage to them.  As with the cavlary you need to layer your cataphract attacks correctly. Since they are slower than cavalry you can layer cataphracts with both cavalry and scouts. It can also be a good idea to take out enemy layers with other troops in small suicide attacks before sending in the cataphracts, the phracts are really expensive and timely to rebuild after all.
