Evony Age 2 Guide

This may be old news to most Evony players by now, but in case you haven’t read the thread in the Evony forum about the Evony Age 2 transition I thought it would be a good idea to mention it here. Many players wanted to keep playing Evony Age 1 the way it is, and the Evony Team has listened and they will keep the Evony Age 1 servers the way they are. Noone will loose their heroes or cities or anything on the servers they are already playing at. Instead they will make new servers for Evony Age 2 where everyone will start out at the same level. Everyone is wondering these days when is Evony Age 2 going live on all the servers. The Evony Age 2 Beta server only has room for 10,000 players after all, and it is not the same just playing on a beta server where everything you do will be deleted once beta is over. The Evony developers and moderators have so far only said in the forums that Evony Age 2 will go live on all servers whenever they feel it has been tested out fully and they are happy with it.

Yesterday however, Evony Radio posted that they will have a radio show this Saturday where they will interview Dawnseeker about the Evony Age 2 release. Actually it was Dawnseeker that asked Evony Radio to have this radio show, so I expect him to give some breaking news when it comes to Evony Age 2. Evony seems to be getting more and more serious about stopping people from cheating by using third party software to get an edge in the game. Two days ago Evony representative Dawnseeker made a post in the official Evony forum letting everyone know that they had enacted their second enforcement sweep in the past week. He said that both of these sweeps against Evony cheaters targeted players who were using illegal third party software to gain an unfair advantage over players who play the game without cheating.

According to Dawnseeker all players targeted by these sweeps were using illegal third party software or websites to connect to Evony. No players were suspended for any other reason. He also said Evony is committed to protecting their honest players and will continue to aggressively pursue and remove rulebreakers from the game. Read the rest of this entry »

Uprising is the defense you have in Evony Age II against being colonized. The player who has colonized you is called the Suzerain. Suzerain has many meanings, but one is being a nation that controls another nation in international affairs but allows it domestic sovereignty. Achievements seems to be another new feature of Evony Age II. The achievement quests are different from the normal quests you are used to from before. Some of them involve killing various type of troops and conquering other players. Overall they seem to be more geared towards offense and war than the regular Evony quests.

You seem to get points in reward for doing these Achievements. This is different from the normal quests where you get resources or items in reward. You can use these points to get prestige rewards later on. There seems to be some new Hero Attributes in Evony Age II. That is hero leadership, hero speed and hero energy. Hero energy seems to be a certain number out of 100. Every time your hero marches he looses 4 of his energy points. These energy points will recover over time.

Speed and leadership however I’m not sure what are yet. Leadership can be over 100, and I heard of one player having a hero with 120 leadership. When it comes to speed I think it might be a bonus to how fast troops led by that hero would move, but I have not tested this out yet. Will update this articles as soon as I find out more.

There are lots of new cool features in Evony Age II Beta! It is hard to get on to the Evony II Beta server, as there is only room for 10,000 players. Inactives are deleted every 24 hours however, so keep trying every day until you get in. We have gathered a lot of information about Age II here, click the links for more details.
