Stratagems
Another new feature of Evony Age II is the Stratagems. These are items you can buy in the Evony Age II store and use for various purposes. There are two type of Stratagems, offensive stratagems and defensive stratagems. Some of the stratagems are really powerful like the “Burn the Warehouses” stratagem that lets you destroy 10% – 50% of your targets food. If someone had saved up billions of food for months this is way too powerful in my opinion.
There is also a huge difference in price between the offensive and the defensive stratagems. Some offensive stratagems cost as much as 100 cents, while all the defensive stratagems cost either 5 or 10 cents. I guess that is to make it easier for players that don’t want to spend a lot of money on the game to defend themselves. Below is a list of all the stratagems and how much they cost to use.
Offensive Stratagems.

The stratagems do not provide the player with any crucial assistant. For the amount of coins require to purchase stratagems, you are better off training troops and upgrading defenses! The limited stratagem disabling features is not worth the money you pay for these stratagems. EV2 is about heroes and stratagems, now I understand this EV2 business message as EV2 is about profit and the best way to achieve this is to encourage members to purchase a worthless product with incoherent descriptions call Stratagems. Stratagems are purely snake oil package in a today’s technology. I know from first hand purchase, use and now colonization!

I agree with Alrocks96–I wanted to know “How” more than “What”. Fortunately another site gave me the answer–you click on Map View, left click the city you want to target (yours or another’s) and click the Strategem button. Then you select the strategem you want to use from the resulting list.
