Scouts
The scout is a very useful unit in Evony Age 2, and you want to have several of these in each of your cities all the time. The scouts are pretty weak when it comes to attack and defense, but their main purpose is to do scouting missions after all. The scouts also defend you against other players scouting your cities. You only need level 2 barracks to build scouts, and in my opinion getting a few 100 scouts is the first thing you should do starting up on a new Evony Age 2 server.
In Age 1 scouts were also used in the popular scout bomb attack, and I believe they can be used for this purpose in Evony Age 2 as well. The scout bomb is a suicide attack where you send 100k scouts at a very well defended city to take out some of their archers. Due to the scouts high speed it can reach the enemy archers without getting killed by other troops, sometimes taking out as many as 30k enemy archers before dying. This is a very effective way at destroying the defense of well defended cities a little bit at a time.

I am trying to complete my Quest 17, all I have left is to send a scout to a level 14 city. I have tried and keep getting the error message “Insufficient space” what does that mean??

@Colette I think it means you have to increase your army size. That general means (or so I thought) that your troops can’t carry enough food to support themselves on their trip. My suggestion is to upgrade your Logistics tech.

I was wondering if you accidently send Scouts with no Hero to a location, is there a way to recall them back to your city ….. this is not explained in its entirety in the guide and would be very helpful knowledge.

@crystal,if you want to recall your scouts go to army movement and click on your scouts and click recal
