Pillaging other players – early PvP
Attacking other players for resources is a very good way to grow quickly at the start of a new server in Evony. Be careful not to attack someone with a larger army than you though, since loosing you whole army will really hurt you. In addition to not being able to pillage other players you will probably be pillaged a lot yourself and wake up every morning with no resources in any of your cities.
When choosing who to attack when farming for resources be sure you look up their honor score and total number of cities in addition to just their prestige. Don’t attack player with a high honor score early, chances are they will have a pretty large army. When it comes to troops I tend to focus on just warriors early on, they are cheap and very quick to build.
Overnight I usually put my whole army in one of my cities, reason is it’s much easier to take out 2 or 3 small armies than one large one. The city I put the army in will be the one with highest production of resources and gold. I also build up some fortifications in this city. At day 3 or 4 on a new server I build archers, about 10k of them before I pump out even more warriors. PvP and pillaging other weaker players for resources is very important early on, but don’t make powerful enemies.

I am playing Evony Age II and there is no attack feature. Only colonize. Is there anyway to just attack someone in order to loot resources?

Yup! I have the same problem! I can colonize but they don’t even take what resources they can carry, I’ve even sent transports and still they come back empty handed! You just loose out because of the cost in sending the troops in the first place!

You need to declare war on someone before you can attack them for resources in Evony Age 2. Colonize is something completely different, read about that here: http://www.evonyguide.com/colonize-a-city

Okay…my alliance and I get the colonizing. What we don’t understand is even though as an alliance we have declared war against another alliance, but are still unable to do anything but colonize.
When we choose the attack from the drop down and enter coords manually (vs. clicking on the map since there is no attack button) we are told we cannot perform against that target…..so what are we missing?
Is the only fighting option in Age II to colonize?

there is a way to attack without declaring war or colonizing it is a stratagem but if you use it it decreases the honor you would have gained by a certain percentage

i have a problem with most of these guilds, i believe most of them were written for Age I but are being used for the Age II wiki despite the fact that there are huge differences. For instance, you can colonize people in Age II, you cannot plunder them as this article suggests here on the Age II wiki.

True,, how else do you get resorses besides attacking NPC’s.. I have found that you can only colonize other players but you can’t just attack for resorse… I take it you have to colonize ALOT of players before you can really build a BIG army…
