Make your own NPC villages to farm

with 55 comments

At the moment farming NPC villages with ballistas or warriors is the easiest way to gain resources in Evony. I already have an article here on NPC farming, so here I will just leave a quick tip on how to easily make NPC villages around you that you can farm. You can even choose which level NPC villages you want.

Every time you abandon a village it will turn into an NPC village with the same level as the flat you once founded the village on. So what you do is to look around your villages for empty flats with levels corresponding to the level of NPC village you want. Then you just conquer the valley, build a city there, send your workers back and abandon it. You will now have an NPC village there.

I’ve found that level 8 NPC villages are very good to farm, so I try to make as many level 8 NPC villages around my own villages as possible. Other levels might be better for you, but at least make them level 5 or higher, else you will regret it later. Flats change level every day it seems, so wait till the flats close to you are the level you want before making an NPC village there. Once you’ve made the NPC village, it can never be changed. Happy NPC farming!

  2. hi..i m new to evony. I already attacked 2 flats and successful. one is level 2 and the other is level 5. There are flag on the flat. After few minutes I returned my army from the flat and abandon the flat. Is it the right way?. Are these 2 flats already my NPC village?. If not how long I have to leave my army on each flats that I conquered? How do I enter the city I conquered and instruct my army do farming etc like my own main city? Can we enter the conquered NPC city like our own city?

  3. Rose, the guy is not too specific. And I’m assuming that when he says build a city, he means building some farms, etc as well, then abandon it. But I could be wrong and you are doing it correctly. I don’t know about entering the NPC city after you’ve abandoned it.

  4. I believe you actually have to occupy the flat with a Hero, 250 workers, and >10K of each of the resources. Once your troops have occupied the flat, and assuming you are of the proper rank to build another city, Build City becomes an option when you click on the occupied flat. Select Buld City and wait the necessary time and you will have another city. THEN you can abandon it to become an NPC city. You do not “farm” it by telling it what to make – you attack it and plunder the resources.

  5. You all have it wrong.
    Conquer a flat
    Recall your troops
Click on the flat and choose build city (you must have an empty city spot, 10k of each resource, and 250 workers available in your city, NOT at the flat)
    After the city is built
Go into the town hall of a city other than the one you are barbing
    Click the cities tab
Click abandon next to the city you just built
Enter in your password for the game when prompted
    Voila, barb city.

  6. after it turns in to an NPC city (to the level you selected it to be), it is said that after 8 hours, this NPC will have their resources to the fullest of its capacity!, at that point you have to attack that NPC city to conquer it, if succesful you will get all the resources it had. so you can abandon the city again, and do it all over again. hence the term “Farming” or “Milkying” :)

  9. if you do this….you need only have one city build space available and keep repeating procedure….just thought i’d get my pennys worth in here lol

great game and thanks for this tip ;-)

  10. I followed the above procedure as outlined by Zaya yesterday, but when the lvl 10 NPC city was created, my scout reports told me it had 400k warriors, and 20k in various city defenses…and very little resources (under 100k total). Can anyone provide insight into this? I mean, this is the exact opposite of what a person would hope for.

    12 Aug 09 at 5:41 pm

  11. Nightcrest….when npc city is first made….it takes a while for resources to build up….simple as that

    arapototo

    14 Aug 09 at 6:28 am

  12. el-vergas…you are incorrect….just one raid on npc city can take all the resources if you have enough transporters…..the idea is not to take the city when you are just farming npc citys ;-)

    14 Aug 09 at 6:31 am

  13. 1. Your title must be Knight or higher
    2. You must have only one city or have space to build another.
    3. Conquer whatever level flat you wish the NPC to be.
(3-5 are best until you have 1k Ballistae and Transports.)
    4. Recall your troops.
    5. On map click on the flat, click on Build City.
You will need 250 workers, 10k in ALL resources.
    6. Once city is built. Build a Rally Point, click it.
    7. Select main city co-ords, select *REINFORCE*
    8. Send workers and remaining resources home.
    9. WAIT till they have arrived back!!
10.In main city Town Hall, click on Cities tab, click “Abandon” for the city you’ve just built.
    11. Allow time for NPC to restock. (Keep scouting)
    12. Go to Evonypedia for Ballista and Transports needed.
    13. If you cannot follow this guide, go play Spider Solitaire!

    15 Aug 09 at 2:05 pm

  14. ok you all have it wrong. You can create an npc using the strategy from the above post, but you dont need to conquer it to gain it’s resources. Using a combination of ballistas and transporters you can take all of the resources from an npc without any losses, then do it again in eight hours. check another site for the correct amount of ballistas and transporters to use

  15. no one can speed hack!!!

    Steven

    29 Aug 09 at 4:51 am

  16. the number of ballistas and transporters you use depends on the level of your researches. to farm it you make it (as you are told above) and to farm it you just attack it. at the beggining make 1 lvl 1 NPC, 1 lvl 2 NPC and 1 lvl 3 NPC for medals. to get medals and the resources you need to successfully attack the NPC. for medals you need to attack with a high Intelect hero. at the beggining scout the NPC so that the hero inside it is a low level hero or you can lose. Before you scout the hero changes. when you scout and there is a low lvl hero inside attack. if you win you get the plunder. before attacking again the same NPC let 4-8 hours for the ressources to replenish. NPC farming is good for leveling your hero and getting stronger faster. dont sell the food if you have too much, you will need it later in the game for troops so try to make reserves from the beggining. for further questins go to theevonywiki.com . even the more experianced players use it, and if you have entered and alliance ask them for further guidance. Good Luck guys.

    1 Oct 09 at 2:03 pm

  19. You can’t turn an NPC back into a flat. Once it’s been built it stays what it is forever. Even if you conquer it a demolish all the buildings it will still have a Town Hall and when you abandon it it will revert to whatever level NPC it already was.

    JeffK

    22 Oct 09 at 5:55 pm

  20. If you conquered it tho, and have a spare teleport then you could telkeport it away and then abandond it, then it would be a npc somewhere else, and the place would become a flat again, then you wait till it becomes a lv10 flat and make a npc again :)

  24. if your trying to make an lvl 10 npc out of say a lvl 9 npc is it possible? seeing as scripts are fairly rare…. like abandon the lvl 9 at 100 loyalty or something i dunno

    muzza

    3 Feb 10 at 1:17 am

  25. Whatever the flat is when you start, that is what it reverts back to when you abandon it. (ie that level NPC). a 9 is a 9 is a 9.

Anyone else follow Dredd’s explanation to build cities if you are trying to build NPC’s.

    Jim

    21 Feb 10 at 9:52 pm

  26. actually they are not “stuck there forever” there is a way to change npc’s just not easy. you have to capture it and port it away. then it is just a flat and you are back where you started from

  31. I have just created 4 x L5 npc’s on NA3 and when the server refreshed they disappeared back into flats.

    WTF?!

    NT

    29 Apr 10 at 11:26 am

  32. NPC”S are simple to make. once you are major/knight and have 3k scouts to attack with (faster attack rate)
once done click on flat with yellow flag. Click build.
okay once build wait for it to finish. give it a name. then go back to your main city. click on town hall. click on citys
abandon new city- type your login password and abandon. you created a NPC you can make NPC’s at certin lvl’s. if you take a lvl 1 then it will be a lvl 1 NPC. NPC means noe player city… each city contains a high lvl of resources the higher the better. make sure you scout the citys first. if its a lvl 10 then informatics must be lvl 10. a lvl 5 for farming is great i use 760 ballista ans 800 trandporters. your archery must be lvl 8 and have a high attack hero range of 50-60 zero losses. im host of 100Kingz on age 2 and my members follow my recomendations. build alot of lvl 5′s and you will have it made. thank you. 35. The reason the nocs are disappearing is because in age 2 you can no longer make your own npcs

  36. Ok i played evony age 1, i know all about making npcs
but heres the thing, after spending a day making npcs all around my main base, i farmed them a couple times, came back the next day and the npcs i made turned back into flats…whats with that

    Harps

    12 May 10 at 1:07 am

  37. Age 2 is diffrent. since evony has been having problems with people making too many NPC’s they made it change back to flat at 0 server time

    Salem

    29 May 10 at 6:57 am

  38. If you attack the npc cities every day they stay but if you miss a day they are flats again. At least they stayed for 4days.

  39. Let me tell you this if you are building npc, do not try to farm lvl6 npc or higher the max npc lvl u can farm without losses is lvl 5, archery lvl 8 or higher, military tradition 5 or higher, high lvl hero and 650-750 ballistas, 750 transporters depends on ur logistic lvl. Before building your 2nd city first build npc all around you lvl 5 prefered.
    Have fun

  43. Evony Age 2 doesnt allow you to keep NPC’s you make they dissapear within a day or 2. This happened to myself as I used to do it in Age 1 but Age 2 doesnt allow for it.

  47. Puzzled! :(
For a while I was doing attacks on Lv4/Lv5 B-city’s. 7 attacks at a time. All went well, until yesterday I find that none of my attackers have returned and the reports red defeated, nothing more. All 7 attacks read the same. Basically no info why. All the same city’s as before, with the same force as before.
This has put my off the game completely, I have to rebuild all the transports and Ballista’s that just vanished. It’s BS, I understand 1 or 2 out of 7 attacks not being successful but all, and all have no info why. It’s not like I attacked an lv10. It’s BS, I’m so ticked off. :(

  48. I’m playing on NA23. Every Barbarian city that I have created was gone the next day. Has anyone else experienced this problem? They say that you don’t have to farm in Age II because of all the Greater Bonus Rewards you get through facebook, etc. Can someone e-mail me about this? gmpros at yahoo dot com. Thanks!

  49. can sum1 please explain how an attack hero of 100 with 271 attack attributes can lose against a lvl 13 hero..

with a corselet, war horn and penicillin in use.. farming same level 10 npc for weeks with higher hero lvl and no losses yet hot with a lvl 13 and all troops lost..

    SAFFRON

    8 Mar 11 at 12:54 am

  50. SAFFRON, did you have an academy in the town? Without it you have no techs and will lose horribly against 10s even with using warhorn/corsette (I’ve made this mistake before ha ha ).

Goel, if your marching speed(Compass) incresses or hbr etc you can cause yourself to take losses or lose completely on lvl 5 npcs when previously they worked fine. Check around the net you will find guides that tell you wich techs you need to farm them!

  51. So i built some level 5 npc’s. I came back the next day and they were gone! Flat’s again. All I built in the city before I abondened it was a rallyy spot, to send my workers back. Do I have to build more? Does anyone have any answers to this problem or share this problem?

    ebblz

    12 Jun 11 at 5:44 am

  54. You people do know that you can’t make AND keep NPCs in Age 2. They’re gone when the server time hits 00:00. Since if they allowed them to stay eventually there wouldn’t be anymore flats left and other people wouldn’t be able to start playing on the servers.

    Aliice

    25 Jul 11 at 2:01 pm

  55. on age 2 npcs disappear to stop people becomming to strong. what i do is instead of build sub cities create an npcs where you want your second city to be and conquer it. then you have a really good city in minutes

if you are confussed with the original guide, get off of evony. that is the most easiest to read guide i have read.
