Folk hearsay and folk heroes
In Evony Age II there is something called folk heroes. These are special type of heroes which are quite strong. You can get these heroes by listening to the folk hearsay in your inn. You get this option in your inn once the building reaches level 5. The more you increase the level of your inn the more folk heroes you can get hearsay about.
You have three options you can choose from when it comes to Folk Hearsay. More Hearsay refreshes the list of folk heroes in your inn at an expense of 100 gold. Enquire Details gives you the accurate location of the Folk Hero as well as a portrait of him which is necessary in order to capture him. You need to spend some gold to get this information. Search lets you search for a specific hero by name, this will cost you 1,000 gold.

well, you actually have to spend 10 game cents to get the additional info, and then you get to know the coords for the NPC that the certain hero, though it can be 300miles away..

SO if i want to capture a folk hearsay hero, i have to spend the 10 cents?

You have to spend 10c to get their location and pic…thats the only way to capture them. Also, like aladauz said, it can be very far away and there doesn’t seem to be a way to narrow your choices. And…you may end up getting the location of a folk hero thats already owned by someone else. The details will just point you to a players castle.

by following the quests you get cents in the beginning
1 of these is to acquire a folk hero`s information in the Inn (inn level 5+) after acquiring the info you then accept the task.
In my Items: you then have the info under the quest tab
the info is yours to keep but act fast as other players could have obtained the same info.
If you have lost the coordinates for the Heroes info you obtained, simply go back to the inn and search by name for the Hero you originally enquired about all info including location will be displayed.
Please note: Within the description of the folk heroes there are clues as to what type they are Politics, Intelligence or Attack also within some descriptions there is also clues to the general are they`ll be located.
I`ve captured 1 so far with another 2 in progress the one captured is now level 33 with attack 167 without hero gear! with the lowest attribute being 65
Bare in mind hero needs persuading mine only required gold not sure if higher levels may require medals as well like in Evony1
And loyalty needs rewarding with gold so as not to lose them in battle

my 2nd folk hero is proving to be a sly fox
I`ve attacked the npc 3 times now defeating the defending troops but losing the battle !
he must be pretty tough lol

If the folk hero is hiding in an npc do you have to conquer the npc to get the hero? I have attacked the npc 4 times so far and have not gotten the hero yet. If it does not need to be conquered, any idea how many attacks it takes to get the hero?

I captured my hero and followed the quest to do it. The problem I have is I have the hero and persuaded him but I can not complete the hero quest for capturing and persuading him. I sent a bug report to Evony on this but they have not responded beyond the auto reply. Also you need to be at least a baronett to persuade a lvl 30 hero.

DO NOT FAIL to realize that, once the server’s been around a while, many, perhaps most, of the heroes will already be captured.
Especially ones with interesting or famous names.
Every time you pay the ten cents, you are risking wasting it, because someone else has that hero already. What’s more, since they did it before you, they are likely to have been playing longer, and therefore be more powerful. The more famous the name, the longer it’s probably been since he was captured.
So pick the most obscure name you can, to increase your chances.

I want to ask how mathimatically possible to have a level 100 Folk Hero or regular Hero with 85 politics 405 attack and 85 intel, this is a hero from na5
From level 1 to level 100 there is only 100 points to distribute, add 30 more for holy water and that will top at 130 plus a base of 100 would give 230, so how is 165 points unaccounted for? Is there something I am missing?

Lethe: U have to consider hero gear. And HH go to lvl 150. Also, I believe that if someone has it it says its location is in a flat, not a barbarian town, and u can see that b4 u spend the cents. I’m going to check it out rq, but other ppl told me that as well.

The simple solution around this little dilema is look in stats search the name of the hero you are trying to capture and if it comes up some has already caught it if not it’ll be in an NPC/Valley.

It’s her gear and star sets Take a queen for example
with the highest star set (as far as I no) her stat can be boosted to 475. i.e a hero has lvl 3 and has 72att
if you research all the armour in your workshop and then upgrade it with gems it’ll gain bonus stats. Hoped that helped.
