Evony endgame – checking if opponent is online
Before attacking, and especially scout bombing, strong players in the endgame of Evony it is important to figure out if they are online or offline. If they are online they can just keep their gates open if you send archers or cavalry at them, and close them if you send scout bombs having all your scouts die on their fortifications. Here are a few tricks you can use to figure out if the player you are about to attack is online.
If his gates are open you can start sending a 100k scout bomb to the target. You send 1 scout on a scout mission to land at the same time or 1 second after the scout bomb attack. Turn back the 100k scout bomb at the last second. If you see the gate is suddenly closed you know the player is online and closed his gates to defend against the scout bomb.
If the gates are close you have to use archers to figure out if he is online. You send a 100k archer attack on the way to him and one scout to land just before this. Your turn the archers back at last second. If the scout dies you know he is online and opened his gates to defend against the archer attacks. Almost all players will open gates if they are online to kill of your archers, they don’t want to sacrifice all their archer towers as they take a long time to rebuild. If he doesn’t open his gates you can assume he is offline.
You can try this a few times in a row to make sure he doesn’t have a friend in the same alliance logging on seeing these “spy” attacks you make on him.

I now i leave my gates open i think the best strategy is to scout like there is no tommorrow to see if he heals his troops cause most players will heal there 100k scouts that were killed so if he heals he is on but he doesnt he not on

Well then you can scout bomb all his archers away even when he’s online.

What a load of crap. Look, leave your gates open and make sure you have alot of scouts. This way they get 0 scout report and assume you are online (even if your not).
Most players unless they have a giga army, wont bother with you if they loose say 8k scouts it aint worth the risk.
AT’s, wall fortifications will get taken out whether gates are open or not. If you close your gates, you save your troops but loose your resources.
