Evony cheats and third party software
Evony seems to be getting more and more serious about stopping people from cheating by using third party software to get an edge in the game. Two days ago Evony representative Dawnseeker made a post in the official Evony forum letting everyone know that they had enacted their second enforcement sweep in the past week. He said that both of these sweeps against Evony cheaters targeted players who were using illegal third party software to gain an unfair advantage over players who play the game without cheating.
According to Dawnseeker all players targeted by these sweeps were using illegal third party software or websites to connect to Evony. No players were suspended for any other reason. He also said Evony is committed to protecting their honest players and will continue to aggressively pursue and remove rulebreakers from the game.
I think it’s a good thing that Evony is getting more serious about catching cheaters these days. Hopefully the problem will be close to non-existent when they launch Evony Age II on all of their servers. I’ve been playing on the Evony Age 2 Beta server quite a bit now, and I’m really enjoying the game. Looking forward to when they get Evony Age 2 implemented on all of their servers.

If Evony is getting serious about cheating I haven’t seen any evidence of it.
For botting and the such players on my server get a three day suspension. There were guys on World Chat bragging about how many times they’ve been caught and all they get is a three day suspension. If they were permanently expelled, as Evony claims they will do if they catch people using third party software, botting and the such, then you are correct; it would soon be or close to being non existent. But as long as players keep getting a slap on the hand it will not only continue, but increase. As long as you are filling the Evony coffers, as the offenders claim, they will continue to permit it while contiuing to tell other players who don’t fill the coffers to beware.
Players caught with more than one account get the same treatment. Suspension for three days, but the offending city or cities are not deleted so what’s the point.
Cheating on the decline in Evony; I think not.

Third party involvemend. Is paying for evony sents not a third party involvemend by bringing in money brokers or pay pal. Does that not give the person that pays an unfair advantage? There is a thing as exhange rate and some players can not pay the ammounts for help in the game due to the value of their monatary system against the $. Is that not giving an unfair advantage

I love this game and dont spend but 5-30 dollars a month and have been victim to cheaters a couple of times even pushed from server 124 to a pay points kind of system one night like the survey site freespin.com
very similar try or buy this offer get this many game cents the same night it also burnt my numbers on my keyboard out and wiped my hard drive on laptop. and just today on server 124 i’ve been blocked by malicious software for attacking someone i believe is a 2nd acct for someone in my alliance!

Dawnseeker’s statements were a total and absolute lie.
Unfortunately, there is no real recourse for players unless they have made payments within a specific number of days, usually 45 to 180. Each payment method has its own specific rules to follow for recovering funds. PayPal has stated that, if enough complaints were received, an investigation into the matter would be opened. No promises there, but a possible opportunity for those that had invested regularly to recover some of the funds Evony so zealously holds onto.

It’s absolutely hillarious that one of the main individuals behind the WOW gold farming (aka cheating,) is now running his own game system and trying to prevent others from following his example.

I was suspended for cheating – only thing is I never cheated and don’t know how to cheat. I am so angry and nobody will answer my questions
I want to know what software I have on my computer that can be used for cheating, after All I got suspended for it … I feel entitled to cheat now

I was suspended for “cheating”-and as further punishment my “troops, resources and fortification were halved” – Problem, I have NEVER cheated, and wouldn’t have the slightest idea how. Like Phil, I am furious, and nobody will answer my questions, just keep sending me the general letter with the general statement about a violation of these Terms and Conditions: Use cheats, automation software (bots), hacks, mods or any other unauthorized third-party software, databases or scripts designed to modify the Evony experience.
I intend to pursue this. If you are accusing somebody, they deserve more information and a chance to be heard.
