Evony Age 2 Guide

Evony Age 2 Battlefield has been talked about for more than half a year now, and players are getting impatient and really wondering when Evony Age 2 will be released. Yesterday the vise development director of Evony, Thalin Athasian, posted to a thread in the Evony forum asking about Evony Age 2 Battlefield. He said that “The Community Representatives have sent out information as they know and have on multiple times responded to these questions. And I know I have as well. Evony: Age II is in development, and I would only say that definately keep your eyes posted as it’s going to be great.” Nothing new here really, so what do we really know about Evony Age 2 Battlefield at this point?

Evony announced Evony Age 2 Battlefield about half a year ago in the official Evony forum. Here they say this:
“We also wanted to announce a brand new Evony project, tentatively named Evony – Age Two – Battlefield!
Age Two will expand on the success and strengths of Age One and will offer tremendous improvements to all areas of gameplay. One of the most exciting features we have planned for Age Two will be a new Revolution Stage. This will be a server-wide event which will require players on the server to join forces for an epic undertaking to advance from Age One to Age Two. While we develop Age Two, we will, of course, continue to support, develop and improve Age One.”

This is extremely vague, the only specific feature they mention is the Revolution Stage, which will be a server wide event getting from age one to age two. There has also supposedly been a beta test of Evony Age 2 in July last year, opening for only one day and then closing again, this is half a year ago now! I really wonder if Evony Age 2 will be released at all. I really hope so, but I’m starting to get pretty impatient, what do you think?
