EvoMap – Evony map of all servers
EvoMap is a new tool for Evony that easily lets you find other players cities. This has been a problem in Evony, finding all the cities of a player or an alliance that you want to attack. With the Evony map you can search both for player names and alliances. You can also get a list of all the cities in the various states of the server and also all cities in a certain radius around a coordinate of your choice. Right now more than 12 million cities are listed on 125 different servers.
I think the EvoMap might change parts of how players battle in Evony, since players can not hide from each other anymore now. I’ve used the strategy of hiding my important cities far away in a quiet area before, but that’s not possible anymore since it’s very easy for other players to find them. The EvoMap is made by Xandium Studios and can be found here. They say they will have a full service with graphics operational within a few days. The version they have out now is free to use, I don’t know yet about the full service with graphics.
UPDATE: Seems EvoMap is down at the moment, I don’t know if they will put it up again.

i think evomap is down for the moment because of the new super servers, or that evony has shut it down. they may have tried to put the new super servers in and failed causing the site to fk up. but prob evony shut them down is my bet.

If people would quit broadcasting these sites about evony cords they would quit getting sued by evony creators. I am sure that is what happened to xandium that is causeing it to be down all of a sudden. if it’s not wehen will it be back up?

I would like to agree with waltv. QUIT POSTING IT AND GIVING IT TO ALL YOUR LITTLE BUDDIES!!!! Just give the information and have them praise you for it. If you give it to 1 person they give it to 2 and those 2 give it to 10 and those 10 give it to 100 and those 100 give it to evony creators! Just keep it a super secret what is wrong with people in this world? You all want to be the first to tell everyone what you found.

Why not a distributed solution that Evony can’t shut down? E.g., each player downloads a client software to run from their machine. This client software would gather the tile information for all tiles within 20 mile max “radius” one of their city coords (or a given set of coords)and then send that data to the server to be compiled into a main database accessible as it is now. This way, the Evony servers won’t be pinged from a single IP 10′s of thousands of times a day per server. And since the data provided to the main server is from individual “users” (like @ Evolliance), Evony, Inc. will have less standing to shut down since the website itself will not be pinging the Evony servers.

The guy that created the bot to search the servers is in Basic Training his brother and cousin are running the database now. Either they got sued and shut down. Or they are inexperienced and cannot figure out the issue.
They however are using a bot. He says so in his explanation and pre-apology as future issues.

I think evony shut it down although they cannot do that legally.
If anyone wishes to sue evony, i;ll put some money in the pot. evony is a scam~ ive paid for coins that didnt appear and had very powerful accts dissapear without explaination. i wish someone would sue their assses off!

I agree with others that too many people were hitting the the site and Evony likely sued them or something. If they do bring it back keep it your little secret and you and only you can be the genius in your neighborhood.

i play evony myself..in server 6 with 500k+prestige… i use the evony map to help me take out stronger players…weak players can even use it to there own edvantage…so the evony map is not that bad of a thing…plus u need the map to scout, attack, or even reinforce your own cities.

Evomap Is a great tool, and the fact that anyone could use it I fail to see why Evony would want it stopped. After all Evony don’t seem to govern themselves that well, i reffer to multi accounts some players have!!!
I have spent money on Evony and realy enjoy the banter maybe they should look at themselves first before shutting down a tool that EVERYONE could use.

A client based map tool is crap, and gives a lot of room for even basic programmers to make drastic changes that could cuase lag or interfere with the game itself.
A server based tool can scan the entire map every day (just once) and save the info. Users would then be using the tool site’s ping instead of evony’s. The data would be a max of 24 hrs old, but that is perfectly fine.

Here’s a question, if evomap is down, how is it a friend of mine moved from Carinthia to Lower Lorraine, and the guy chasing her had no idea which state she had moved to, but within 2 hours had found her again? HOW is that possible?

Guys I’d LOVE to help you host this tool in such a way that Evony will taste their own medicine. If one of you would contact me I’d be happy to foot the bill and use my assets to make this possible and show Regan Mercantile that they can’t abuse laws while hiding behind them themselves.
In fact, I’d like to show them how costly bullying can be to their daily business. I have friends and assets they can’t touch in countries that don’t GAF about their lawsuits and the DMCA. What gives anyone home here or what? I’m fearless and determined. How about any of you?

I have been talking to a little birdie recently, and he has informed me that they will have there own version of EvoMap up and running by 1/1/2012 garunteed, it will not be a free service this is due to them having to actually move to a diffrent country so EVONY can’t touch them or there site. And as it has been costly to set up and will be to run its only fair to help! after all, there not even claiming its ‘Free Forever’ LOL.
Some released info:
$5-15 a YEAR subscription. (practically nothing!
all age 1/2 servers will be active and fully updated with cities on release, and updated every 6 minutes! so if they port, you can hunt them down in LESS than 6 minutes!
This is a estimate but they reckon down time will not equal more than 2hour per year! wich is pritty impressive as evony goes down for a minimum of 15 minutes a day!
they will be releasing a email address here on 20/10/2011 for any questions you guys may have! so get some messages up befor then showing your support and showing how much you want a new EvoMap!!!!
