Estimate troops from inaccurate scout reports
If you don’t have high enough informatics technology, you’ll get inaccurate scout reports, here is what the different terms mean.
Few: 1 – 24
Pack: 25 – 49
Lots: 50 – 99
Horde: 100 – 249
Throng: 250 – 499
Swarm: 500 – 999
Zounds: 1,000 – 2499
Legion: 2500 – 4999
Bulk: 5000 – 10000
Giga: 10000 and more

WOW 60k? damn i have 500 warriors and im easily able to destroy every one! haha its great!
And no lvl 10 npcs have 400,000+ warriors! Believe that? thwy give a ton of resources though.

I have lvl ten informatics. I scouted a level ten grassland and it only provided me with generalities. Why didn’t I get specific numbers?

because it only gives that for high levels and or player owned lands

Informatics is important but so is number of scouts used, when scouting a lvl 10 youd need about 10k scouts for exact numbers probaly, idk i use a lot more than that. But same with a player, scout him with 1 scout you might get a report but with 100k scouts itll tell you his parents names.

most of you are wrong.., int. of hero doesnt matter,, doesnt even help.,if you have lvl 10 informatics maybe your beacon tower is low lvl.., beacon tower also adds details to scout reports.., and number doesnt matter about details.., it just matters if the one your scouting has alot of scouts and you need to beat those to get info…,

Omg , first for people who dont know the becon tower helps , so get it to lvl 8 asap , same with Town hall .
Everyone is on about omg a lvl 10 npc has so manyyy troops . ive taken 7 of them and a HC (historic city) .

LOL if ur scouting an experienced player it will take more than one wave of 100k scouts 2 breach it open and get the report and having lvl 10 informatics and beacon is a must get it up!

i think this is useless, 10k of anything is worthless. 10k pults are still easily taken. im sure this is wrong. all i can say is that if its not giga its nothing important.

So, is Evony such a POS (Piece of Sh*t) game that they do not have a manual that clearly lays out all of this, and so people do not have to do all the stupid things you guys are doing above? They created the game and code, and so they know exactly what is what. Like other game providers, they should have a clear manual that breaks down the numbers and the combination effects.
With that said, I like the game, since it is a copy of several other games others have done, and for all I know it is the same people, and so my guess is that the rules of those past games are embedded. Hardly anything Evony has is new, except it is flash based web game. So, it is a sweet and sour experience here.

when scouting send a high intel hero. It does make a difference what you get for intell. I sent 500 scouts to a lvl 8 lake bad intel. Sent 500 scouts and high lvl intel hero and got exact numbers of enemy.
