Conquering a level 10 NPC barbarian village
With the new change to NPC farming, it now takes like 24 hours to regenerate, I thought it might be a good idea to take over a NPC village to help out with food. A NPC village has 37 level 10 farms after all, and produces like half a million food/hour without any valley bonuses at all. It took me about an hour to take over this NPC village. I won’t give everything away here, but I will give you some tips on how to do it.
To be able to take over a level 10 NPC village easily you should have your own village just next to it, it is much harder if not. If you can manage to get two of your own villages next to the NPC village you want to take over, even better.
You obviously need a lot of troops to take over the NPC village, there is 400,000 warriors there after all. I used mostly archers and warriors, and ended up loosing about 200k troops total. I’d recommend at least 200k archers and 300k warriors for you to be able to do it, about 10k ballistas would help a lot too.
The loyalty in the NPC village drops with each attack, even when it’s less than 15, but it regenerates really fast so you have to attack it lots and lots of times, with as little time in between the attacks as possible. It was actually not as hard as I expected to take over the level 10 NPC, so go give it a try!

No, they regenerate at about 40k warriors at a time, as well as parts of the fortifications.

a little flaw,you cant send 300k warriors and 200k archers,you can only send 250k troops at a time,and even with a war ensign,you still wont be able to send 500k troops,so we pretty much have to use ballista + archers + warriors, with about 10k ballistae,100k warriors,and 140k archers(or just use all ballista),because thats all that can fit

nice man the guide helped me alot an easy way 2 beat any npc is 2 hav at least like 2 cities nxt 2 the npc and get alot of heros and the 1st hero 2 attack the npc should have ballistas, archers and swordsmen or warriors(ur pick) then all of the other heros should hav less troops so every time they regenerate, ur nxt hero will allready b there 2 kill anything thats there do this till u hav it THIS GUIDE ROCKS MAKE MORE HELPFUL STUFF!!!!!!

so whats the minimum amount of troops that can be sent in first wave to be victorious and then minimum in 2nd wave? (using mixed troops not all balista) not minimum to send with minimal losses just the fewest you can send in each of 1st 2 waves to win?

NEVER use ballistae to conquer an NPC city level 5+. The recent patch KILLED it. You’ll lose LOTS of the ballistae, not worth a lev 10 NPC imo.

too many warriors, and too many archers, you can not send 70k army of any kind my friend, It only take 60k army to send on a fight. I suggest to send 40k ballistae and then the proceeding attack will only take 1000 cavalry, easy you got your self an NPC level 10.

Warriors and archers are the way to do it. As far as you fools claiming you can’t send enough..rally spot upgrades increase your sending amount by 10k each level. And essenandrew…cavalry will die, this is an NPC, they regenerate troops, and quickly. You need to hit with a large first wave, then following waves repeatedly, do not give the npc the ability to regenerate to much and you will get it. Guy in our alliance just took another and he used 400k archers and that was overkill.

Why would anyone want to conquer a level 10 NPC? If you have one near you, you can farm it and get 19MM food every 8 hours or 57MM food per day. If you conquer it you get a fraction of that.

Just got one, excellent and useful post. I attacked from three separate cities within a few miles of the target, and timed the attacks to hit every 1.5 minutes. I lost much less than I expected!

Some extravagent numbers there…you don’t require that many more than 150k archers, 2 or 3k bal and 90k warriors in continual waves – rams and cats with speed this up in later waves. Well, I haven’t had problems with my 9 NPC 10′s
To build troops faster make sure Mayor has very high attack and build lots of barracks.
City distance is not a problem (although not too far away) as long as you time attacks.

first wave: 10k warriors/5k pikemen, 1 archer, 1 cavalry (this wave is to take down trebuchets to minimize losses in your main hit, this is a kamikaze wave, all soldiers will die.).
second wave: 1k+ rams (these are incredibly effective if used with archers/ballista), 5k+ ballista, the rest of the spaces should be filled with archers, flag holders are optional (this wave will succeed, it is highly suggested you use your best hero here, there should only be around 15k archer losses.).
Follow up attacks: start with 40k archers, 5k pikeman, and 5k scouts in each attack, as it goes on you can send as little as half of this amount without risking serious casualties.
when i took my first level 10 npc i used 260k archers, 50k pikeman, 100k scouts, all researches were level 10, and all heroes had between 100-200 attack, all attacks were sent from 1 city 3.2miles from destination. In the end i only lost 40k archers, 30k pikeman, 20k scouts after healing. Also, make sure the first and second attacks are only seconds apart when they hit. it helps if u always have 9 attacks on the go, if that means having no mayor for a while, do it.

Tezz…to increase your title you need to gain medals…to get to knight you need 5 lion and 10 rose…rose medals can be obtained from attacking lvl 1-4 valleys…lvl 3 works best…lion medals can be obtained from raiding low level npc’s

Kalihn, don’t be stupid. I attack lv5 NPC’s daily with 370 ballista with 0 losses… lv10 arch/IW, lv9 HBR/Medi/MT…
Make 10 or more barracks in each city to build troops faster… 1000 archers takes no time at all if you make 100 archers in each city…

for the spear head, if u have an attack hero of above 150 attack lvl , then to minimise loss u can take 2000 workers, 2000warriors, 2000 scouts, one each of swordsman , pikeman , cataphracts and cavalry .. 2000 transport to carry away the 19 million food and the rest archers …. i usually take about 91000 archers…. all your troops will die except archers which u will loose about 5000-8000 depending on you hero lvl … i have found this the most effective way to attack a lvl 10 npc …. and the loss is relatively less when u think of how much food u gain …. ohh dont try this if archery lvl is not 10

Ok people. I took 2 LVL NPC yesterday lol. All you have to do is have 200k archers, 50warriors, 10k pike and sword and then 5 of everything for layers apart from ballistas, battering rams and catapults.
1st wave – 1worker, 1496warriors, 1scout, 1500pikmen, 2000swordsmen, 95,000archers, 1cavelry and 1cataphrack (no need for trans cuz after attacking for a while you will get all the resources)
2nd wave – 15,000archers and 5000warriors
3rd – 10th wave – 10,000archers, 5000warriors
Now this is all you have to do about 5-6 times and the LVL 10 NPC will be yours (when i did it i had military tradition, iron working, medicine all LVL 10)
BUFFS – war horn, corselt and peniciln
LOSSES – i lost bout 20,000 – 25,000archers, 20,000warriors, and then 5000pikemen and swords.
(REMEMBER to go on rally spot an HEAL your men)
It is actually very overayed attacking an NPC it is not hard at all

How to attack a lv 10 has be talked about alot. STOP. do not waist troops. send nothing but archers. calv cost to much for the loss, so dont send them, most all workers , warriors get killed befor they get to the wall. waisted. so this is step, by step how I take a lv 10 NPC with a total loss of 32K archers. step 1. scout the NPC. look at the hero lv. if above 8. re scout. keep doing scouts till you get a hero in the report of lv 8 or less, this drops the # of troops you will lost. YES each time you scout an NPC the hero changes. ok step 2, requiers you have lv 10 archery and you should use buffs, war insig, horn, cross. I did not use any buffs like horn or anything. I forgot to use them and still only lost a total of 32k archers. so, You have lv 8 or less hero in the NPC, your archery is lv 10, and your hero is lv50 or higher with attack of 120 or up. IN THE 1ST WAVE ONLY. of 100k archers. wave 2,3, are 50k archers with hero lv 40+ and attack of 100+. Now wave 4 to wave 35 or intill conquored. will have 30K archers per wave. EACH WAVE WILL BE LESS, I SAY AGIAN LESS!! THEN 1 ( ONE ) MIN BEHIND THE WAVE BEFOR IT. no wave should ever hit more then 59s after the wave befor it. Yes every 6 min the troops regenarat to 40k but evry 2 min 10k to 15k will pop up. the faster you can attack, the better, HEAL YOU TROOP, this takes about 150K to 300K depending on how far you are from the lv 10 NPC, if over 2 miles, dont waist your time, best was is right next to it at 1 mile. 2 miles is ok, but it takes 2 min for my archers to march 1 mile, 4 min to march 2 miles, and so on. so get on it befor you attack. NOW! try to fig out how I can take an NPC lv 10 in 10 sec. YUP it is posabull, the hard part is haveing to click that fast. I have been working on a way to attack useing my mayor giving me 10 waves per city. I have 1 city on top, below, to the right, and to the left of the NPC, all just 1 mile. Now each city havs lv 10 rally and feasting hall so I can march out 10 waves one sec, behind the othere, 10 waves in 10 sec. TIMES 4 citys is 40 waves in 10 sec hitting the NPC. You will take the loss from your 1st wave only, because the NPC did not have the time to regenarate, not even 1 troop. Trick is how do you launch attacks from 4 citys all at the same time.
3 of the citys belong to you alliance/ friends. and there city slots are all taken up, so they can not take the NPC, only you can because you have the open slot for a new city, I would hope. Now you and your friends can telaport in to a flat open area and circle a NPC and attack it and take it, with in seconds and suffer extreamly low loss. Have fun. Let me know if anyone becides me has done this, it is a rush, just dont miss a click. ;0 you realy have 30 sec, befor anything strts to regenapate at all. In fact if you have 40 people in your alliance you could all hit the same NPC at the same time and only you have the open city slot, BANG))) you just took it in 1 sec. lmao. it can be done!

well you need to hit it fast so my friend took 1 with
90k archers and about 50k cav
hit with archers i think he had like 5k losses somehow
and keep hitin it fast with cav so it doesent regenirate

To take it in 5 min or less you need 200k calvary and 100k catapract attack the lvl 10 NPC with the 100k catapract(use war essign if not level 10 rally) then keep on attacking it with 20k calvary each (if you have a level 10 feasting hall you dont need to take mayor off but if lvl 9 you need to take the mayor off for those five min) then hero you attack first with the 100k catapract will need an attack of 120+ and the other 8 heros 100+
This is how it should look
1st wave- 100k catapract 120+ attack hero
2nd- 9th wave 20k calvary 100+ attck hero
Just keep on repeating waves 2-9 till you have the city
(DONT FORGET TO HEAL YOUR ARMY AFTER EACH ATTACK)

Its not complicated, relax. get your army built, your hero leveled up and your research done then simply send a layered wave of 99995 archers with a 180 att hero followed quickly by waves of 22k archers unlayered.
If its your first one i would suggest taking one as close as possible. next door in fact if available until you get the hang of it.
why complicate things with cav and cata etc? warriors are another cheaper option for the loyalty lowering waves, but you just cant beat 99995 archers and 1 of each swords, pike, warrior, cav, scout.

NPC lvl 10_ Revised it attacks not limited to more then so~ Archery lvl 10– Ballistas 10k archers 200k Swords 70k. then a quick sweep of little waves 30k cataphrats… lvl 10 npc must me at least 3.5 miles to take with this amout of troops its that easy… i been with Civony since march 2008 and beta tested age 1 and age 2.. took many and taking more.. later and happy hunting

Honestly Millzo you’re an idiot. I just took a lvl 10 yesterday right next to the North March capital on server na4 with first wave of 10k warrior 5k pike 5k sword 5k scout and 100k archers. After first wave I hit repeatedly with wave after wave within 5 minute intervals oh and hero attack was 150 not 250 with 20k archers 20k warriors and 500 pike 500 sword. So 250 attack is wrong Ballistas and Swords is wrong Cataphracts is definately wrong oh and my archery is lvl 9 mt 10 IW 9 med 9. Thank you and post up to date info

Anyone else running into this problem?
I’m trying to conquer a lvl 8 npc (I would guess that this would apply to any level npc) and once I got the city’s loyalty down to 0, I didn’t conquer it. I attacked the city a good 10 times after it’s loyalty hit 0, but I didn’t conquer it. My title is Viscount, I only have 3 cities right now so I have space for two more. Any ideas why this occurred anyone?

LEVEL 10 NPC CONQUER GUIDE
Use a Hero with 150 or more attack + 10 Intelligence at least. (Apply War Horn + Corselet for less casualties)
Wave1: 94,000 Archers + 2,000 Scouts + 2,000 Warriors + 2,000 Workers.
Wave2: 50,000 Archers + 30,000 Warriors.
Loyalty Waves: 20,000 warriors for first attack of 9/10. 10,000 Warriors for the rest and so on.
A Level 10 NPC can be conquered with one city using this method.

or you can send 100k cataphract then like 25k cavalrys behind it so the cataphract hits first and some cataphract will still be alive and then just keep sending the 25k cavalrys until 10 waves or more and make sure all the heroes are like 125+ attack and the first hero like 150+ and just keep doing that and after 10 waves of 25k cavalrys send 20k then after another 5 waves send 15k then after 5 more waves send 10k then just keep sending 10 k
and scout until you get a hero on the npc to lvl 5- if you get a 5 or 4 dont go for lower becuase it will take like another 30 minutes or up to find another that low
