How to Join the Evony Age 2 Beta
This is just a short guide on how to join the Evony Age 2 Beta. Everyone can join the Evony Age 2 Beta as long as they are active enough. Every 24 hours inactive players are deleted from the Evony Age 2 Beta server, I know this as my Beta account was deleted once cause of this reason. This means that when you get started with the Evony Age 2 Beta test you have to log in every day to make sure your account won’t be deleted.
When joining the beta server you log in with a login and password you use already on any of the other servers, only chose one login as it is not allowed to have two accounts on the beta server. Do not try to register a new account on the beta server, that will not work, just type in your login information from another server even if you have never played the Evony Age 2 beta before.
If you get the message “We’re sorry, but we’ve reached the 10,000 active logins quota for Evony: Age II live beta today. Please try again in 24 hours time.”, it means the beta server is full right now. You have to wait till they delete some players, which they do every 24 hours, so just try again tomorrow. Derelict city
An Evony derelict city is a city which has been abandoned by a player. Dereliction of a city in Evony turns the city over to the barbarians. The barbarian cities are also called NPCs, that’s the most common term and it means Non Player Character. Barbarian cities and not ruled by players but by the game itself, and they come in 10 different types. That would be level 1 to level 10 NPC barbarian cities.
A derelict city will be turned into a NPC city with the same level as the flat was before the player city was build. That is how you can actually make NPC cities at the exact level you want them to be. You just conquer a flat of the level you want and then abandon the city you build there. The flat will now be turned into the same level NPC city.
Add to CL
Add your best farms to your CL in Evony. CL stands for coordinate list or contact list, I’m not quite sure which, but probably coordinate list. Here you can add interesting cities that you wish to remember for later. It’s easy to add a city to your CL, just select the city on the world map and click the “Add to CL” button on the top left. You can access the CL later by clicking on the city name just under your coordinates and the goto button top right on your screen.
A smart thing to do is to add cities you like to attack here, cities that produce a lot of resources and have little defense that is. It is much more efficient to farm when you have a ready list of the cities you are planning to attack. Some cities are run by inactive players so you don’t even have to scout them then, just add to CL and attack them every day.
Evony dynamite use, demolishing a building
The dynamite in Evony is very useful when you want to get rid of a high level building quickly. You don’t need a dynamite to get rid of a building in Evony, but it really does speed things up to demolish buildings with dynamites. To get rid of a high level building you need to click downgrade on it each time for each level of the building. This can take a long time if you have many high level buildings that you want to get rid of. Say if you want to demolish 15 cottages from a level 10 NPC city you have just conquered, you would have to click downgrade 150 times, 10 times for each level 10 cottage! EvoMap – Evony map of all servers
EvoMap is a new tool for Evony that easily lets you find other players cities. This has been a problem in Evony, finding all the cities of a player or an alliance that you want to attack. With the Evony map you can search both for player names and alliances. You can also get a list of all the cities in the various states of the server and also all cities in a certain radius around a coordinate of your choice. Right now more than 12 million cities are listed on 125 different servers. Read the rest of this entry »
Intant building of troops in Evony
As you may know the build time of troops in Evony depends on the attack skill of the hero that is currently major of your city. Something you might not know is that Evony rounds time down, so if your hero’s attack skill is high enough you can actually train troops in 0 seconds, pretty cool! It works right now as I’m writing this, but maybe it’ll be changed so use it while you can, it’s kinda like a cheat after all. The forumla for training time is:
Training time = (base training time)*.9^(technology level)*.995^(hero attack)
When this formula gives you a result less than 1 second Evony rounds it down to 0 seconds.
Teleport around to gain honor
Teleporing around to gain honor quickly is actually quite a lot of fun, it’s really effective if you’ve run out of good targets in your area. I’ve done it a few times, and gained honor quite easily this way. What you need is an army large enough to defend one village against most attacks, at least 50k archers and 100k warriors, as well as a few teleport scrolls. Teleports are pretty cheap, only $3 each, but the best is to win them with your amulets of course. Read the rest of this entry »
