How to Join the Evony Age 2 Beta
This is just a short guide on how to join the Evony Age 2 Beta. Everyone can join the Evony Age 2 Beta as long as they are active enough. Every 24 hours inactive players are deleted from the Evony Age 2 Beta server, I know this as my Beta account was deleted once cause of this reason. This means that when you get started with the Evony Age 2 Beta test you have to log in every day to make sure your account won’t be deleted.
When joining the beta server you log in with a login and password you use already on any of the other servers, only chose one login as it is not allowed to have two accounts on the beta server. Do not try to register a new account on the beta server, that will not work, just type in your login information from another server even if you have never played the Evony Age 2 beta before.
If you get the message “We’re sorry, but we’ve reached the 10,000 active logins quota for Evony: Age II live beta today. Please try again in 24 hours time.”, it means the beta server is full right now. You have to wait till they delete some players, which they do every 24 hours, so just try again tomorrow. Primary and secondary truce agreement
The truce agreements is a new feature of Evony Age II. Using these you can set a specific time of the day when your account will go into truce mode. This will typically be during night when you’re sleeping, or maybe when you’re at work. They come in six different types, Primary 8-hour truce agreement, Primary 12-hour truce agreement, Primary 16-hour truce agreement, Senior 8-hour truce agreement, Senior 12-hour truce agreement and Senior 16-hour truce agreement.
The primary truce agreements last for one week, and the senior truce agreements last for 30 days. They are quite expensive but they can certainly help players a lot. Once the timeframe of these items is set you can not change it, it will be the same 8, 12 or 16 hours that you go into truce every day for 7 or 30 days.
Barbarian’s City
Evony Age II introduces a special type of NPC city to Evony called Barbarian’s Cities. A Barbarian’s City is much better defended than a regular NPC cities and often have a legendary hero as a defender. There are also quests in Evony Age II featuring these barbarian cities.
I expect these to be something similar to the capitals of NapWar and Kingory. I described these capital cities in an article called Capitals – Evony Age 2 feature? about two weeks ago. Basically these are cities which can be conquered by an alliance. Having a capital you can levy resources and gold from neighboring cities and also recruit troops from them. There are 4 types of barbarian cities or capitals in these other games, and I expect there to be the same in Evony. Read the rest of this entry »

Evony alliance positions
There are five different positions in an Evony alliance. All members in an alliance start out as a standard member, they can’t do anything special in the alliance apart from quitting the alliance. If they quit they will loose 10% of their prestige, this goes for any type of alliance member.
The next rank in the alliance is the officer. They have the permission to accept new members to an alliance, but they can not promote any members to higher positions. They can also send out alliance invitations. There can be a total of 10 officers in an alliance, the total number of any kind of member in an Evony alliance is 100. Read the rest of this entry »
Beacon tower
The beacon tower is quite an important building in browser game Evony. The beacon tower will warn you on incoming attacks on your city, and the higher the level of your beacon tower is, the more information you will get about the incoming attack. I advice you to have a beacon tower in each of your cities and get them to level 9 as quickly as possible. If you’re hardly ever attacked this isn’t very important, but most players are attacked now and then, and then it is a huge advantage to get as much information you can about the incoming army. Increase population with public grievance
It is harder to increase population in Evony with public grievance, but it is definitely possible. Both public grievance, tax rate and loyalty is related to how fast your population will grow. As you have probably noticed, the the lower your tax rate is the faster your population increase is. You can see this from the table posted below that your population increase per tick with 0% tax rate is 5%. This is the maximum possible population increase per tick that you can have. A tick happens every 6 minutes in Evony, then Evony will update loyalty, population and gold for each city you have. This happens at the same time for all cities on the server.
