Evony Age 2 Guide

Many Evony Age 1 players have complained that there is no attack button in Evony Age 2. In Age 1 they were used to being able to both plunder other players cities for resources as well as conquering them and making them their own. In Evony Age 2 the game developers decided to get rid of the attack button and switch it out with the colonization button when you select other players cities.

Having no attack option has made Evony Age 2 a much easier place for new players, since you can keep your resources safe and there is no way for other players to steal your resources or capture your cities. Many players feel this make Evony Age 2 too peaceful however, and would like to bring the attack and plunder option back. Read the rest of this entry »

The Evony Age 2 wiki is almost complete now, and there is tons of information you can find there now. You can find information about all the new Evony Age 2 features, the buildings, the troops, all the new Evony Age 2 items, the stratagems, medals guide for Evony Age 2 and lots more stuff. You should definitely take a look at it if you haven’t done so already.

The only thing left to do is to add information about all the quests of Evony Age 2, and I’m working on that at the moment. If you have any information you think should be added to the Evony Age 2 wiki, anything you think should be change, or any questions to the information there, feel free to leave a comment to any of the articles!

UPDATE: The E-Book I am recommending now is called the Evony Game Guide: Advanced Strategies for Dominating in Evony, it’s cheaper than before at only $24.95, and it is really good, lots of great information and strategies for Evony Age 2 as well as Age 1. Today a lot of new articles about Evony Age 2 has been added to the Evony Age 2 wiki. Now there is information about all the building types of Evony Age 2, most of the troops types, all the stratagems, the technologies and most of the Evony Age 2 items. New articles are added to the wiki every day, and you can find the Evony Age 2 Wiki here.

I am also looking for someone to help out writing articles for the Wiki, if you’re interested in doing that you can leave a comment to this post and I will get back to you. Please do bookmark the Evony Age 2 Wiki and check back often, I hope to have most of the articles completed within a few weeks. If you are totally new to Evony Age 2, I suggest you start with the articles about the new Evony Age 2 features and then go on to the other articles.

Today there were quite a few changes in how the Facebook applications work together with Evony Age 2. Many people have complained that Facebook had too much influence over gameplay in Evony Age 2. You could get massive armies extremely quickly if you had a lot of Facebook friends playing Evony, and this ruined the game for some players.

Dawnseeker says in a post today that they wanted Facebook to be a fun addition to Evony, not a major component of gameplay. Because of that they have reduced how large the rewards from Facebook are, and also how many gifts you can send other players through Facebook every day. Evony Age 2 is now finally released, and it looks really cool! There are lots of new features to Evony Age 2, and I suggest you take a look at the Evony Age 2 wiki if you want to learn all about them. This week the first 4 servers were started up, and they are called NA1, NA2, NA3 and NA4.

There is also a brand new interface of the main Evony website where you have access to all the Evony servers. You click the big play button on the center of the screen under the new Evony Age 2 logo, and then you get to the server list where you can choose from all the Evony Age 1 and Age 2 servers. I just tried signing up on the NA4 server, and there is plenty of room for new players on that server, so there is room for everyone to start out with Evony Age 2 right now!  Read the rest of this entry »

This may be old news to most Evony players by now, but in case you haven’t read the thread in the Evony forum about the Evony Age 2 transition I thought it would be a good idea to mention it here. Many players wanted to keep playing Evony Age 1 the way it is, and the Evony Team has listened and they will keep the Evony Age 1 servers the way they are. Noone will loose their heroes or cities or anything on the servers they are already playing at. Instead they will make new servers for Evony Age 2 where everyone will start out at the same level.
