Evony Strategy Guide

This is just a short guide on how to join the Evony Age 2 Beta. Everyone can join the Evony Age 2 Beta as long as they are active enough. Every 24 hours inactive players are deleted from the Evony Age 2 Beta server, I know this as my Beta account was deleted once cause of this reason. This means that when you get started with the Evony Age 2 Beta test you have to log in every day to make sure your account won’t be deleted.

When joining the beta server you log in with a login and password you use already on any of the other servers, only chose one login as it is not allowed to have two accounts on the beta server. Do not try to register a new account on the beta server, that will not work, just type in your login information from another server even if you have never played the Evony Age 2 beta before.

If you get the message “We’re sorry, but we’ve reached the 10,000 active logins quota for Evony: Age II live beta today. Please try again in 24 hours time.”, it means the beta server is full right now. You have to wait till they delete some players, which they do every 24 hours, so just try again tomorrow. Many players find themselves having a problem with declining population in Evony. This can be a very bad thing for them as you need a high population for several things in Evony. Early on a new server having a high population is important to gain a good tax income, with a declining population you will loose tax income and not be able to grow as quickly as you would otherwise. Getting medals in Evony enables you to gain prestige, higher rank and title, and enables you to build more villages, so it’s pretty important knowing where to get them. You can buy medals using real money if you want to, but it’s pretty expensive, so most players probably wants to get them by themselves. In this guide I show you where to get the different medals, and how to get them most efficiently. There are 9 different medals, cross medal, rose medal, lion medal, honor medal, courage medal, freedom medal, wisdom medal, justice medal and nation medal, and some are much harder to get than others. This Evony guide will show you how to conquer a level 10 NPC in less than one minute by timing attacks from several different of your villages using camp time. This NPC can be far away from you, as far as 100 miles, so it’s just like an advanced teleport without the delay. This can be really useful if you want a forward base far away from you to launch attacks from.

The number of troops you need to do this is about 130,000 archers, 400,000 warriors and transports. You also need a high attack hero as well as maxed technology. Most players have way more troops than this on older servers, so it shouldn’t be a problem. Read the rest of this entry »

Defending your cities is obviously very important in Evony. For defense you can use both a lot of scouts so they are not able to find out how many troops you have or just a lot of defense troops so they can’t manage to beat you anyways. In addition to your troops you need a lot of fortifications, I recommend archers towers, they are effective against almost anything the enemy can send at you.

I also recommend having gate closed usually, unless you’re able to have a huge defense army in town, or you are only and manage to figure out how large of an army your enemy sends against you. It’s true that more powerfull players will destroy your fortifications frequently, but they are pretty cheap to rebuild after all. Heroes are really important in Evony, they give you better production and faster building time and troop training as well as attack bonuses. In this guide I’ll take a look at hero management and what type of heroes you should look for.

There are three types of heroes, the politics hero, the attack hero and the intelligence hero. Don’t mix them, focus on one attribute for each hero and change back and forth between them as needed. When you start a new account on an Evony server you will have 7 days of beginner protection. You better use these days wisely, especially if you’re on a server that has already been running for a while.
