Evony Age 2 Guide

A new feature with Evony Age 2 is that you can link your Evony account with your Facebook account. Linking your Evony account to Facebook has many advantages, and I think it’s almost a must if you want to be successful in Evony Age 2. The obvious thing it does is to make it easier to invite your friends on Facebook to play Evony Age 2 with you, and the application also makes sure that your friends start up on the same server and close to the same area as you do. This gives you a chance to easily help your friends get started with Evony quickly.

Another huge advantage with linking to your Facebook account is the gifts and resources you get from it. If you get lots of your friends to join Evony through Facebook you will get tons of cool rewards. People have built up massive armies early on with the help of Facebook integration. Evony Age 2 is now finally released, and it looks really cool! There are lots of new features to Evony Age 2, and I suggest you take a look at the Evony Age 2 wiki if you want to learn all about them. This week the first 4 servers were started up, and they are called NA1, NA2, NA3 and NA4.

There is also a brand new interface of the main Evony website where you have access to all the Evony servers. You click the big play button on the center of the screen under the new Evony Age 2 logo, and then you get to the server list where you can choose from all the Evony Age 1 and Age 2 servers. I just tried signing up on the NA4 server, and there is plenty of room for new players on that server, so there is room for everyone to start out with Evony Age 2 right now!  Read the rest of this entry »

Everyone is wondering these days when is Evony Age 2 going live on all the servers. The Evony Age 2 Beta server only has room for 10,000 players after all, and it is not the same just playing on a beta server where everything you do will be deleted once beta is over. The Evony developers and moderators have so far only said in the forums that Evony Age 2 will go live on all servers whenever they feel it has been tested out fully and they are happy with it.

Yesterday however, Evony Radio posted that they will have a radio show this Saturday where they will interview Dawnseeker about the Evony Age 2 release. Actually it was Dawnseeker that asked Evony Radio to have this radio show, so I expect him to give some breaking news when it comes to Evony Age 2. Historical cities, or barbarian cities as they are also called, is a new feature of Evony Age 2. It is quite hard to conquer the historical cities as they have a ton of troops in them. Conquering historical cities is definitely possible however, and doing so will gain you huge advantages in the game, so in this guide I will show you how to conquer the first of these historical cities, the level 12 barbarian city.

First lets look at what kind of defense the level 12 historical city has. Not all level 12 cities will have the same type of troops but all will contain something like 280k warriors, 27k calvary, 40k pikemen, 17k archers and maxed fortifications. I decided to make a list of all the new items you can buy in the Evony Age II store. There are seven different categories in the Evony store, so I chose to group the items under the right category. The seven categories are Special Offer, Hot Sale, Items, Speed Up, Produce, Chest and Stratagem.In some of the categories there are no new items at all, that’s why they are not listed here.

Primary advanced blacksmithing and Senior advanced blacksmithing are the two items of Evony Age II that you can use to increase your chance of success when melting gems. Advanced gems smelting is the process of melting two lower level gems together to one higher level gems. Using the primary advanced blacksmithing item you can increase your chance of success by 30%, while using the  senior advanced blacksmithing item you can increase your chance of success by 60%.

The Wooden Chest, the Bronze Chest and the Royal Chest are were you will get your gems in Evony Age II. You can buy these chests in the Evony atore, just like you can buy medal boxes. They actually have the same prices as the medal boxes too, with the wooden chest costing 80 cent, the bronze chest 120 cent and the royal chest 240 cent. You can also get gems from attacks as well as melting two lower level gems together for a higher level one, so you don’t have to buy these chests to get the gems you want. There are 3 types of gems, Sapphire Gems, Ruby Gems and Topaz Gems.
