What a weird name this is, cast a brick to attract a gem. It comes from some Chinese saying I’ve heard. Anyways, this stratagem make it looks like you have 5 to 10 times as many resources in your city as you actually have, it is active for 24 hours. Seems like a pretty useless stratagem to me, why would you ever trick someone into believing you have a ton of resources to steal.

I agree. It seems this would only be used if you start a new city near a rivaling alliance so they would attack it. But by doing that you need to use “Bolt the door to catch a Thief” so that an army of ballistas can wear out your enemies fotification.
Perhaps this is used only as a “combo strategem”?
