Call of the Warlord Autumn Campaing?
This campaing started about a month ago, at least according to the Evony forums. I haven’t really played Evony at all the last few months, and I’m surprised to see Evony still growing. I guess the boobs in the adverticing is really paying off. Anyways, anyone participating in this campaing I’d love to hear what it’s like. To me it seems just like a server merge of some sorts.
“Evony is pleased to announce the 2009 Autumn Campaign, “Call of the Warlord”. This huge event is going to be bringing together all of the best on World Servers 6-11 (servers W6-W11). Due to this, we are bringing all six world servers offline at 00:00 September 10th 2009 (CDT) so that we can begin preparing for this epic chapter in the saga of the Evonian lands. After 12 hours, at 12:00, a new server named WN2 will be online for the campaign to begin!”
Is it anything but a server merge really? I mean they like to write these fancy things that are really not correct at all, like the “Save your lover” or whatever it says on those adds with the girl, so I’m really curious. Also, when I look at the patch notes and updates in the forum there seems to not have been any major things happening for the last few months. Maybe that’s why the old servers seem to be dying? Please do leave comments or questions.

as a response to your question, it’s nothing more than typical propaganda bs by evony in the guise of a server merge. anyone who doesn’t buy game cents and/or is from one of the young servers is likely dead and gone by now. it’s like putting a 1 legged cat in a yard full of pitbulls…..good luck surviving much less getting out of the yard.

Yeah i was recently a part of the fall campaign. I just started playing back in late June, a bunch of us guys that work together joined. We all joined Server 11 and began an alliance. Then one day, one of the individuals we had met while playing the game phoned and informed us of the fall campaign. So when we got home that night and checked our in game mail, we learned of the news. The fall campaign is a merger of 4 servers: 7, 8, 10, and 11. According the creaters behind evony, there were numerous emails sent in asking for some sort of merger and thats how it came about. At first some of us didn’t welcome the idea very well, but 2 months into it, its getting fun. New alliances, friendships as well as hostile enemies have been formed and has made the game even more fun to play. I was on Server 11 and the first thing our alliace thought was OH CRAP!!!!! WE ARE GOING TO GET WIPED OUT!!!!! Our largest player was only a 1/5 the size of the players we merging with. Once the merger was complete, all alliances that existed were disbanded and all valleys that had been conquered were all reset. All cities were relocated on an expanded map and there was a 7 day truce period to re-acquire valleys and meet up and re-establish the alliances that the players had prior. The only dowfnall so far has been the ability of the server being able to hold and keep up with the number of players that are on it. It crashes several times and you are constantly having to refresh your browser. Hopefully this will be fixed in the future.

intresting. they should do that to some more servers, make the game more interesting you know? recomendedly server wn1!
