Besiege Enemy’s fort to rescue Ally’s city
Another quite useful stratagem for Evony Age II. What this one does is to stop an attack launched from your enemy’s city. When you use this stratagem on the city you besiege it and automatically recalls any attacks sent out from it. Stopping attacks like this is obviously very useful, both to protect allies and yourself. It is a bit expensive however, so I’m not sure how often it will be used.

I understand what this stratagem is supposed to do, but I have tried to use it against a city that was attacking one of my alliance members and nothing happened. Is this a bug or am I not using it right?

Could you post more information on how this is used? I was under suppression and tried using it by clicking on their city and then this item and nothing happened. Under what conditions does it need to be used?

There seem to be a lot of glitches with this program. Although the developers attempt to address them, there is no compensation for any losses. This is one item that I have several of but they never work! The amount of time and in some cases money, invested in these games need to be taken into consideration and some type of ‘customer service pack’ maybe with amulets or something – should be sent to players having these numerous issues to compensate them for the inconvenience and frustration that occurs when these glitches affect play. A small token to ensure customer loyalty is advised. Especially given the NUMBER of Evony issues in play.
Any update on this ‘glitch’?

i had the same i was under uprise used it on his city and than it said my troops returnd from there!!!
i was not there.??? but still i could use it…??

Uh, isn’t supposed to work when you have an Ally who is BEING attacked. It would take a crystal ball to use it BEFORE they are attacked. Is the purpose of this not intended to make the attacker’s troops return to the attacker’s city? That seems to be what it is intended to do, but it fails miserably. It will work on your Ally’s city, to get all of their troops to return, even if they are trying to rescure them by removing them from the city. But it doesn’t work as intended, to cause the attacker’s troops to return.
Have tried numerous times to use one on the attacker’s city, and the only thing that ever happens, is it tells me that All MY Troops have returned. If I have troops going to help defend the Ally city, it causes MY Troops to return. NOT THE ATTACKING TROOPS! The idea to to rescue an Ally who is being attacked, and it does not do this. Have tried repeatedly on NA5 and NA7, and IT DOES NOT WORK!
It is a waste of Game Coins, and I believe that anyone who has purchased these items, and used them only to discover they are a wasted effort, should be reimbursed for them, at the very least, given 20 Amulets for each one purchased and wasted.
This needs to be fixed so it works correctly. According to what it states, The city this is used on is supposed to have ALL of That City’s Troops Recalled. Yet it fails to do this as it is stated.

Paully, if your uprising against someone, your troops go to his fort to fight, so his troops need not go anywhere to stop you uprising, so trying to return his troops has no effect.
Also, you don’t have to use it before they launch the attack. I’m on NA18, and have just had a player 2 hours into suppressing one of my cities, and attempted to suppress the other. 2 minutes before arrival, I used this, and his troops were sent home from both without a fight.

I tried using it on someone for my quest, and they said, “Your troops has returned.” But i found that it didn’t even use the stratagem i was making it do. Why??

I had two cities both under siege over 3 hours. I tried using it and my troops returned not his. If Thom is right I suppose you have to have an incoming attack for it to work at all. I suppose the enemy’s troops have to be in motion.

This is a very useful stratagem. You may need to test a couple of cities as other players can launch attacks from not real defined locations. If a players is using 4 cities for example sometimes the info you get from a beacon tower is incorrect. Also, one player may scout and another attack. Test around and use it just before the attacking troops hit you or your ally…this is a great stratagem…I love it.

I agree with the confusion that I am reading on the other comments. It has never worked the way it is intended. Evony needs to fix the problem and compensate those that have had this bad experience. I still have not heard from anybody, personally, who has used it effectively.

Now i have my city under attack right? suppression…
the attacker is sending reinforce to the suppression!
My ally Used this stratagem on my city, and two of the attacker city’s!(just to be secure, as i dont get where to apply it)
And my report button is red… again… should i send it via some other mean?! fax? email? hand?

I am of the same thinking. Evony NEEDS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM!!! i put in a ticket and thier response was..” This is not bugged or broken” O.o WHAT ??!!!
If its NOT intended to force the city’s troops BACK to the city you USE it on LIKE IT SAYS ON THE STRAT DESCRIPTION than CHANGE THE DESCRIPTION!!! or MAKE IT WORK AS it SAYS its supposed to WORK!!

I have used this and it says your troops have been recalled. It was against a city how had sent troops to attack an alliance member. It worked his troops returned to his city hence saving my team mates city. but I still have 10 of these and they have not took it off my account. used it 3 times with sucess and still have 10 of these….
