Desert

with one comment

The desert is actually where you will get your stone production bonus from, not from the hill as many players think. The desert is not that popular to conquer however, as stone is pretty much the least popular resource in Evony Age 2 these days. All valleys increase your resource production apart from flats, which are valleys you can conquer and build new cities on.

The percentage the valley will increase your resource production can vary from just 3 % up to as much as 36%. Like I said before, this depends on the level of the valley, but it can also vary between valleys of the same level too. Number of troops and type of troops that defend each valley also differs, but generally higher level valleys have more and stronger troops.

Quarry

with 4 comments

The quarry is where you produce stone for your empire in Evony Age 2, it is the same in Age 1. Especially early on a server production of stone is really important for growing your Evony empire quickly. The reason is that stone is the most important resource when it comes to building construction. Just look at the wall, you need a huge amount of stone to get this construction up to high levels.

Even though stone is really important early on a new Evony Age 2 server, prices for stone is usually starting to decrease in week 2 or 3. The reason for this is that stone is not very important at all when it comes to train troops, and that is what you will be spending most of your resources on when you get a little bit into the game. Most players get enough stone from just plundering NPCs and buying on the market, and don’t have any stone cities at all. Look at the table below for more details. Read the rest of this entry »

Farm

with one comment

The farm of Evony Age 2 is the building you need to be able to produce food. Food is a very important resource in Evony as you will need to feed your army every hour. In addition to being important in the feeding of troops, food is also important when it comes to some construction types and troop training.

In the beginning on a new server you don’t really need to build many farms, as food will be the least valuable resource and you won’t have that many troops to feed at this point. Later on the server you might want to capture level 10 NPCs, as these are filled up with lots of level 10 farms. Generally however, food will remain pretty cheap on all servers as it is easy to get food from plundering NPCs. Here is a list of how much the different levels of farms produce and how much they cost to build. Read the rest of this entry »

Colonize a city

with 148 comments

A new feature of Evony Age II is that you can colonize the city of another player. When you colonize someone you don’t completely own this city, you just have someĀ controlĀ over it. To colonize a city you first have to declare war against it, click on the city you wish to colonize and click on the “Declare War” button. Then you have to wait 30 minutes for the war declaring period to end before you can launch your colonization attack.

Click on the city and click “Colonize” launch the colonization attack. You need to attack the city successfully to start the colonization, so make sure you send enough troops to win the battle. There is a certain colonization time before the city becomes your colony, this is called the suppression time and is 8 hours. Read the rest of this entry »
