Evony Age 2 Guide

Everyone is wondering these days when is Evony Age 2 going live on all the servers. The Evony Age 2 Beta server only has room for 10,000 players after all, and it is not the same just playing on a beta server where everything you do will be deleted once beta is over. The Evony developers and moderators have so far only said in the forums that Evony Age 2 will go live on all servers whenever they feel it has been tested out fully and they are happy with it.

Yesterday however, Evony Radio posted that they will have a radio show this Saturday where they will interview Dawnseeker about the Evony Age 2 release. Actually it was Dawnseeker that asked Evony Radio to have this radio show, so I expect him to give some breaking news when it comes to Evony Age 2. Historical cities, or barbarian cities as they are also called, is a new feature of Evony Age 2. It is quite hard to conquer the historical cities as they have a ton of troops in them. Conquering historical cities is definitely possible however, and doing so will gain you huge advantages in the game, so in this guide I will show you how to conquer the first of these historical cities, the level 12 barbarian city.

First lets look at what kind of defense the level 12 historical city has. Not all level 12 cities will have the same type of troops but all will contain something like 280k warriors, 27k calvary, 40k pikemen, 17k archers and maxed fortifications. The sawmill is the resource producing building that produces the lumber you need. Lumber tends to be the most expensive resource, so many players build lots of lumber cities that are only focusing on producing lumber. They will tell sell extra lumber that they have and buy the other resources that they need.

You will use lumber both for building construction as well as troop building, that’s why it is so important. Almost all troops you can build in Evony Age 2 need lumber to be trained. For many troops lumber is also the most important resource when it comes to training them. I suggest you build lots of sawmills in each of your cities for this reason. Evony seems to be getting more and more serious about stopping people from cheating by using third party software to get an edge in the game. Two days ago Evony representative Dawnseeker made a post in the official Evony forum letting everyone know that they had enacted their second enforcement sweep in the past week. He said that both of these sweeps against Evony cheaters targeted players who were using illegal third party software to gain an unfair advantage over players who play the game without cheating.

According to Dawnseeker all players targeted by these sweeps were using illegal third party software or websites to connect to Evony. No players were suspended for any other reason. He also said Evony is committed to protecting their honest players and will continue to aggressively pursue and remove rulebreakers from the game. Read the rest of this entry »

This is just a short guide on how to join the Evony Age 2 Beta. Everyone can join the Evony Age 2 Beta as long as they are active enough. Every 24 hours inactive players are deleted from the Evony Age 2 Beta server, I know this as my Beta account was deleted once cause of this reason. This means that when you get started with the Evony Age 2 Beta test you have to log in every day to make sure your account won’t be deleted.

When joining the beta server you log in with a login and password you use already on any of the other servers, only chose one login as it is not allowed to have two accounts on the beta server. Do not try to register a new account on the beta server, that will not work, just type in your login information from another server even if you have never played the Evony Age 2 beta before.

If you get the message “We’re sorry, but we’ve reached the 10,000 active logins quota for Evony: Age II live beta today. Please try again in 24 hours time.”, it means the beta server is full right now. You have to wait till they delete some players, which they do every 24 hours, so just try again tomorrow.
