1 million Archers killed in one attack

with one comment

This attack report was posted in the Evony forums today. It is an attack report from server 52 where one player takes out more than 1 million archers in one attack. This is the most archers I’ve ever seen killed in one attack. The player making the attack is named Gil, and he used 1000 scouts, 29000 cavalry and 70000 cataphracts. He had a level 361 attack hero and was up against a level 261 attack hero. He had taken out all the layers before the archers, apart from 72 warriors, so the cavalry and cataphracts went straight to the archers and did maximum damage. The attack report is posted below, you can click on it to make it larger. Read the rest of this entry »

Evony holiday mode

without comments

Holiday mode, or vacation mode as it is also called, is a feature of Evony that is hardly ever used. I believe the main reason noone uses this feature is that it is very expensive. It will cost you 10 Evony cents every single day. For a two week vacation that would be $14. You can be in holiday mode as long as you want to, as long as you have enough Evony cents. Once your account runs out of Evony cents your account will be thrown out of holiday mode. Read the rest of this entry »

Evony loyalty explained

without comments

Loyalty is important in Evony, and your goal should be to have your cities at 100 loyalty at all times. This is the maximum loyalty that you can have. Evony updates your loyalty every sixth minute, this is called an Evony tick, and if your citizens are unhappy by something your loyalty will decrease by 1 every tick. Your loyalty can also decrease if you happen to be attack, this is how you conquer cities in Evony after all. With every successful attack against your city your loyalty will go down. Loyalty is closely relation to tax rate and public grievance, more about this here.

In the start of new servers you’ll manipulate loyalty with comfort reliefs every 15 minutes to keep your population at maximum with 100% tax rate. This is only the first weeks of the server however, when resources are cheap. After that you’ll just keep your tax rate at 0% all the time and thus have loyalty at 100 all the time. Evony alliance positions

without comments

There are five different positions in an Evony alliance. All members in an alliance start out as a standard member, they can’t do anything special in the alliance apart from quitting the alliance. If they quit they will loose 10% of their prestige, this goes for any type of alliance member.

The next rank in the alliance is the officer. They have the permission to accept new members to an alliance, but they can not promote any members to higher positions. They can also send out alliance invitations. There can be a total of 10 officers in an alliance, the total number of any kind of member in an Evony alliance is 100. Read the rest of this entry »

Open gate to fight

without comments

Controlling your gates and deciding when to open your gate to fight is an important aspect of Evony. Some form of attacks work very well on your city when your gates are open, and some work very well when your gates are closed. All this assumes that you have filled up your wall with fortifications of course, but most cities will be filled up with that within a week after they are built. I suggest mostly archer towers and some traps and abatis as well.

If your city is well defended you usually want to have your gates open at all times. If you have your gates closed other players can easily run in with 100k archers and destroy all your archers towers and traps. Then they can send in some cavalry to take out your abatis and leave your city with no fortifications left at all. They will also most likely have taken a huge chunk of your honor in the process. Fortifications takes quite a while to rebuild so you don’t want this to happen to you. Read the rest of this entry »

Evony game coins

without comments

Game coins is the currency used to pay for items in the item shop in Evony. You can earn Evony game coins totally free if you invite your friends to join the game. You need to do this through the iEvony applicaiton, which you can download from the Evony website. You can also earn Evony game coins writing articles for this website, the best articles will get a 100 Evony cents reward, send them to “iwindk@gmail.com”. The third way to get Evony game coins is to buy them with real life currency. At the moment you have to pay $1 for 10 cents, which is quite expensive in my opinion. That means that several items in the Evony store cost more than $10! It is definitely better to try to get these game cents without paying real money for them.

Derelict city

without comments

An Evony derelict city is a city which has been abandoned by a player. Dereliction of a city in Evony turns the city over to the barbarians. The barbarian cities are also called NPCs, that’s the most common term and it means Non Player Character. Barbarian cities and not ruled by players but by the game itself, and they come in 10 different types. That would be level 1 to level 10 NPC barbarian cities.

A derelict city will be turned into a NPC city with the same level as the flat was before the player city was build. That is how you can actually make NPC cities at the exact level you want them to be. You just conquer a flat of the level you want and then abandon the city you build there. The flat will now be turned into the same level NPC city.
